Lord Krishna was born in Mathura Uttar Pradesh in a prison that was ruled by his evil uncle Kamsa. Her parents' name were Vasudev and Devki. Kamsa had destroyed all the sons of Devki before Krishna was born. So this time Vasudev took Krishna to Gokul to Nanda and Yashoda and Nanda had given his baby girl Yogmaya to Vasudev who immediately took the baby girl to Mathura. When Kamsa heard that Devki had given birth to a girl child , he immediately snatched the baby and Kamsa claimed that it was his baby but the baby was already dead.
