Vaanki Chuki Love Story ગુજરાતી ફિલ્મ ઇન્ડસ્ટ્રી માટે એક fresh, urban અને emotionally layered attempt કહી શકાય. આ ફિલ્મ typical “love triangle” થી શરૂ થાય છે, પણ ધીમે ધીમે relationship, guilt, timing અને emotional confusion તરફ વળી જાય છે.
ફિલ્મની સૌથી મોટી ખાસિયત એની setting છે — કચ્છનું destination wedding backdrop. Cinematography માં desert tones, wedding aesthetics અને Gujarati cultural flavour બહુ સુંદર રીતે દેખાડવામાં આવ્યા છે. ઘણા scenes postcard જેવા લાગે છે. કહાની શું કહે છે?
Dev પોતાના past relationship થી બહાર આવીને Tithi સાથે લગ્ન કરવા તૈયાર થાય છે. પણ twist ત્યારે આવે છે જ્યારે ex-lover Mayra wedding planner બનીને પાછી આવે છે. પછી ફિલ્મ માત્ર “કોની સાથે લગ્ન થશે?” એટલી નથી રહેતી — એ emotional baggage, unresolved feelings અને self-doubt વિશે બની જાય છે.
અભિનય
Bhavin Bhanushali એ Dev તરીકે decent performance આપ્યું છે. કેટલીક emotional scenes માં natural feel આવે છે, ખાસ કરીને confusion અને guilt વાળા moments માં.
Puja Joshi ફિલ્મનું emotional anchor લાગે છે. Screen presence strong છે અને dialogue delivery mature લાગે છે.
Parikshit Tamaliya પોતાના typical energy સાથે આવે છે, અને જ્યાં ફિલ્મ heavy થવા લાગે ત્યાં થોડું entertainment balance કરે છે.
Music અને dialogues
ફિલ્મના songs situational છે — over loud નથી, પણ story સાથે flow થાય છે. Wedding songs અને emotional background score સારી રીતે કામ કરે છે.
Dialogues માં urban Gujarati flavour છે. ઘણા યુવાનોને relatable લાગે એવા lines આવે છે:

અને climax થોડો predictable લાગે એવી શક્યતા છે, ખાસ કરીને regular romance-drama જોનાર માટે.
કેટલાક viewers ને લાગશે કે:
“આ story થોડું Bollywood style Gujarati packaging છે.”
પણ એમાં ખોટું પણ નથી. Gujarati cinema હવે માત્ર village comedy કે family melodrama માં અટકતું નથી — urban relationship drama તરફ પણ જઈ રહ્યું છે.

આ ફિલ્મ Gujarati cinema ની evolving identity બતાવે છે.
Production quality, camera work, styling અને music — બધું જોઈને લાગે છે કે industry effort લઈ રહી છે.
તાજેતરના સમયમાં Vash જેવી ફિલ્મોએ Gujarati cinema ને serious attention અપાવી હતી. �
“વાંકી ચુકી” એ horror/thriller નહીં, પણ modern romance-drama category માં એ જ confidence લાવવાનો પ્રયાસ કરે છે.
