Sri Anandamoyee Maa was one of the famous Hindu nuns of the 20th century. She was born in present-day Bangladesh. As a person of extraordinary devotion, spirituality and wisdom, she came to be observed by both the easy people and popular symbols of India. She didn't have an external mentor and focused on the needs of objectivity from the world and sacred faithfulness. A delighted child of delighted parents, she became a popular nun who, similar to other nuns, stood at the end of various monastic traditions and in the midst of none. She affected the godliness of thousands of people who came to observe her throughout her lifetime and lost her in 1981. The main ideas of her terms and designations are that life and religion are the same thing. People must manage their lives, their work, play and trials to obtain a living, which should be done with honesty, love and faithfulness, with a strong link that true living means effectively correcting one’s sacred existence in harmony with nature. To put forward this union, religious tradition should be created as realistic and simple as consuming food and drinking water whenever a person is hungry or thirsty. If a person loves his or her body, a person must view everyone similarly to his or her own body. When the Supreme Experience follows, everyone’s assistance is rectified as one’s own assistance. A bird, an insect, an animal, a man, a woman or a child should be addressed by name to a person. This body has existed with father, mother, husband and everyone. This body has attended to the husband, so the person may address it to the wife. She didn't obey her husband; she spent her time praying to god and meditating. She was constantly involved with herself. Her husband, Bholenath, could not tolerate her character. He used to hit her quite hard until she was black and blue. This had continued for years; then, suddenly, she told her husband that after another two years, her husband could not hit her anymore. After two years, she met many enthusiasts, and her husband became scared. Then he became her first actual follower. Seeing that the villagers were surprised and thought, “How could a husband become his wife's follower?” But her husband Bholenath said that he had observed her as a saintly person. Previously, Bholenath used to think that Anandamoyee maa was enchanted by ghosts, but soon he observed that Anandamoyee maa was enchanted by god. In 1924, Anandamoyee said she was not able to eat her food after those days; followers started to feed her. During the Kumbh Mela, she used to visit there most of the time, where some leaders realised that they would go to her for insights. They used to come to her, and she started guiding them with the insights. Paramahansa Yogananda had brought her light to America, and he had written a book named Autobiography of a Yogi. Maa Anandamoyee used to guide her followers to laugh all the time so that their sufferings could be reduced.
