Benazir Bhutto was a prominent Pakistani officeholder and the first female to lead a Muslim-majority country as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. She was born in 1853 into an influential family, she was the daughter of former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Studying at reputable academies such as Harvard University and Oxford University she became an exponent for her father's revolutionary principles after his assassination in the year 1979. Her national career was highlighted by her difficulties against the state of energy and her important achievements such as excelling in the connections with India and coming back to Pakistan to the Commonwealth of Nations during her first term as Prime Minister after the 1980s. She was born on 21st June 1953 in Pakistan. Her grandfather Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto was a privileged landlord who worked as the Chief Minister of Junagadh State when India was under British rule. Her father, the deceased Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, was a round character who launched a radical style of government in the subcontinent. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto expanded his position as a comprehensive leader of government in a very short period and at a very young age. In 1972, he became the Prime Minister of Pakistan, though his administration collapsed in a military strike in July 1977. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was suspended in April 1979 after a Supreme Court judgment in a public assassination case. During that time Benazir Bhutto was twenty-six years old. She obtained a very updated and Western-style education, first at Karachi and subsequently at Harvard and Oxford Universities. She was the first female from Asia to be selected as the president of the Oxford Association. After her father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had passed away, her life was affected. Many years were spent in punishment under the military junta of General Zia ul Haq. In 1986 she came back to Pakistan to begin her diplomatic career which brought her to the Prime Minister of Pakistan in 1988. She was married into a family of landlords, cultivators and business people. Her husband’s name was Asif Ali Zardari who was the son of a politician connected to Pakistan’s People's Party. He liked horse breeding and was a determined polo player. He had worked in parliament during Benazir Bhutto’s lifetime as a prime minister, taking part in a necessary role in the national arena in those days. She had three children the eldest child’s name was Bilawal Zardari who was born on the 21st September 1988 in Karachi Pakistan and is currently thirty-seven years old and has pursued his education at Oxford University in 2015. Along with that she had two daughters Asifa Bhutto Zardari, who was born on the 3rd February 1933 in London and is currently thirty- three years old and pursued her education at The University of Edinburgh, University College London and Oxford Brookes University. In October 1999 another military rule came, which was conducted by General Pervez Musharraf and Benazir Bhutto eloped from Pakistan for many years. On 27th December 2007, she was killed in a bomb attack in Rawalpindi, the city where her father was killed.
