Tom and Cherry Gujarati Film Review

Tom & Cherry Movie Review: Gujarati Cinema at Its Entertaining Best!

With Tom & Cherry, Zee Studios makes its much-awaited entry into the Gujarati film industry in association with Dhea Filmworks—and what an extraordinary beginning it is! Packed with comedy, emotions, scale and universal appeal, Tom & Cherry is easily one of the finest Gujarati family entertainers in recent times and, in my opinion, one of the best regional films of the year.

The film is humorous, hilarious and consistently fast-paced. Its witty dialogues, amusing situations and wonderfully timed performances ensure that there is never a dull moment. Yet, beneath all the madness and laughter lies a warm, emotional story that speaks directly to every family. The film carries a meaningful and universally relevant message for parents, presented with warmth and subtlety without ever becoming preachy.

Siddharth Randeria is at his absolute best. He brings peak Gujju energy to the screen, combining impeccable comic timing with heartwarming emotions. His presence elevates every scene, and he once again proves why he is rightly regarded as the undisputed king of Gujarati comedy. Dhanya Doshi delivers a lively, innocent and natural performance, creating an effortless chemistry with Siddharth Randeria that becomes the soul of the film.

The supporting cast—including Anurag Prapanna, Nimesh Diliprai, Madhavi Patel, Vijay Raval, Akash Zala, Prakash Ramchandani, Jignesh Modi and many others—performs phenomenally and keeps the audience thoroughly engaged. Special appearances by Kushal Mistry, popularly known as Amdavadi Man; the famous prankster duo RJ Vinod and Jongo; and Mahi Patel bring additional humour, charisma and vibrant energy to the narrative.

Visually, the movie feels grand and cinematic. Its beautiful locations, vibrant frames and energetic presentation give it a scale rarely seen in Gujarati cinema. At the same time, its emotions remain rooted and relatable. That is where Tom & Cherry truly succeeds—it has the mass appeal to entertain packed theatres and the class appeal to be admired for its message, performances and filmmaking.

The climax is fantastic: exciting, emotional and immensely satisfying. Just when you think the journey has ended, the heart-touching post-credit scenes leave you with an even deeper feeling. They add another emotional layer to the story and remain with you long after you leave the theatre.

Whether watched in Gujarat, elsewhere in India or in any part of the world, Tom & Cherry has everything required to soar. Its humour is universal, its emotions are genuine, and its message belongs to every parent and every family.

You walk out of the cinema laughing, smiling, thinking—and wanting to watch it all over again.

એક જ શબ્દમાં—આ છે ગુજરાતી સિનેમાનું સર્વશ્રેષ્ઠ સ્વરૂપ, જેની આપણે સૌ રાહ જોઈ રહ્યા હતા!

Tom & Cherry is a complete family entertainer that beats most regional films in entertainment, emotion and universal appeal. An absolute must-watch on the biggest screen with your entire family!

My verdict: a spectacular five out of five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
