The story begins with a group of children gathering in the morning in their courtyard, excited to play in the fields. Each child has brought along their belongings, including a bag and a water bottle, and they have informed their mothers about their plans, who in turn prepare a nice lunch for them. They head towards the fields with their grandfather, who gives them some tips about the nearby forest before they start exploring. As they venture into the forest, the initial openness gives way to denser vegetation, with tall trees and various plants. The children are fascinated by their surroundings, unaware of where they are heading. One of the children, Ishan, has brought along a white chalk and is marking each tree they pass. When Rani sees him marking, she asks what he’s doing, and Ishan explains that he is making marks to help them find their way back later. The children smile at Ishan's thoughtful idea as they continue to enjoy their adventure in the forest.
