Greycee

It was early April and I had made all the preparations for Greycee's birthday .There were cards, colourful papers ,sketch pens ,my favourite dry pink rose flowers, fevicol, pair of scissors and many more things on my table.During day time when everyone else used to sleep ,I used to paint like Picasso, write poems like Keats and tried to convert all the available craft material into some piece of Art .Every month there used to be some occasion to send a hand made card with hand made gift .The month of April used to be more busy as I had to make cards, gifts for GREYCEE and her owner whose birthday used to fall in the month of May .
I still remember the day when my whitcee and GREYCEE met .It was also the month of April and I was in Pune for my friend's surgery .GREYCEE was one year old and whitcee around ten years old at that time.I had the opportunity to enjoy a short ride with GREYCEE and the way her owner used to drive made me feel elated .I had never imagined even in my dreams that it would be my first and last drive in GREYCEE.I was living in a transit accommodation in the Medical college premises with my brother and friend's Ward was just about 800 mts from there.
It was early morning and I was about to leave for hospital when I heard the horn and saw GREYCEE.
Within minutes she dropped me at my destination and I was so overwhelmed that I couldn't say Thank u,though I posted a beautiful THANK YOU card later. At that moment I was also engrossed in thoughts about my friend's surgery so the only thing that I could ask GREYCEE and her owner was to visit some Hanumanji temple and pray for my friend's recovery .
My friend's surgery went well and I thanked doctors,Hanumanji and GREYCEE too .How can I forget when I was sitting outside the operation Theatre with fingers crossed ,I got a call from Greycee's owner in which none spoke but I could hear the bells of temple and chanting of BAJRANG BAAN .
My mother had told me that BAJRANG BAAN is good for health and really it worked wonders.I returned home and decided that on this birthday I will gift GREYCEE a hanging Hanumanji in silver so that her owner can use it as a permanent Car hanging.I even wrote a poem
"Thank you GREYCEE ,for visiting Hanumanji,
I liked your colour and No 'two five eight three.'
Do visit your sister sometime, she is WHITCEE,
Her colour is white and she lives with me."
Once I remember sending her a song that was and still my favourite
"Country roads take me home ,To the place I belong"
and whenever this song played on FM ,I would immediately call her owner and ask which route has been taken up by GREYCEE for reaching home.

I can't believe that in just fifteen years time so much has changed ,Whitcee my Father's pride ,Greycees sister has left us,Greycee and her owner too have moved away from my life and I am still standing there with fresh memories of WHITCEE,of my Father,of GREYCEE and her owner. My feelings are same and as a remembrance I have named my new car SILVERCEE which was brought by my father for me.But times have changed or the framework of time has changed.
Frames get destroyed with passage of time but pictures stay as such ,they cannot move out of the frame of time. The pictures of GREYCEE,whitcee in my mind will never leave the frame and will do make me cry sometime .Greycee's owner once said to me
"THOSE WHO MOVE AHEAD AND AWAY HARDLY REALISE HOW MUCH HEARTACHES AND HOLLOWNESS THEY LEAVE BEHIND IN THE PARTINGS .DO CRY IT HELPS TO RELIEVE THE PAIN"
