NEKHBET - The Antidote - 1

11:45 PM, Berlin

The sky was wrapped with black blanket. No stars. No moon. Only street lights were fighting for light. Roads were trying to rest from the hard work of combating with vehicles during daytime. A night shift of security guards had started at ten. Guards of the Neues Museum of Berlin. Neuse Museum is the historic centre of Berlin and part of the UNESCO world heritage. Plaster casts, ancient Egyptian artifacts, the prehistoric and early historic collections, the ethnographic collection, and the collection of prints and drawings are the major attraction of museum. Thus, it is the “Original Source” of the collections in the Egyptian Museum of Berlin and the Ethnological Museum of Berlin. Museum was about to sleep. Security silent. Only lights were on in museum. Visiting hours were over, before couple of hours.

In this soundless situation, only voice of sniffs distinct in north dome hall. Sniffer was a man in black skin-fit cloth. Balcava masked his face. He was hanging with cord at the middle of the dome. The dome was painted with green walls and the bottom portion with rust colour. Exactly, the centre point was marked. The statue decorated with bulletproof glass around it, all four side. Situated at the centre. He slowly released a grip on cord, slipped to the monument. He threw four round shaped rubber. They switched on the surface of glass. As he pushed the button of the remote, in his hand. Centre red switch of rubber pressed, and it flew the green liquid. The liquid covered all the corners and borders of the glass. As he free the pressure of the button, glass automatically started to puny. He again pressed another button of remote, and levelled rubber omits the cord with the sharp metallic ends, which hit the wall and stuck in it. The glasses were inclined from its original position. He started to come down. Near the monument. At the upper side. He lifted up the statue very carefully. Drop of perspiration fall on the floor. Blood was running to his head. He wanted to come out from the dome quickly. He pulled the red handle hanging on his belt, and the cord attached to the dome drew out him.

Siren signalled on the detaching of monument from its position. Security guards rapidly course towards the north dome. Fellas with a gun and rod took position at the entrance of the dome. Warning was released once. No one responded. Again warning rang, and again no response. With the signal given by the head of security, one guard hit the wooden door. With the counting of three, he instructed to blew up the entrance. And, the head started, one… two… three…, the gate broken into pieces. All guys in black uniform, helmets, gun with lesser light covered the dome. But no one was there. Glasses were inclined at four sides. The glass of the top was broken swiftly. Not any noise. Not any error. Not any mistake. Everything was planned. Perfectly planned. Guards pointed their gun to the top watching the black silent sky. Head’s eyes were not widening, but worried. No one could understand his feeling, from all guys present in that dome. He came at the centre point, and he stood motionless watching the blank platform. He unworn his lighten helmet, came very close to platform, laid his right palm on the platform.

The monument was gone.

The first gallery from the three galleries of the museum was silent. Black sports shoes moving very slowly and swiftly in the gallery. The person was in black cloth, which stick to his skin. Wearing black balcava, he was moving at the collection area where Egyptian figures stored. All figures were caged and light sources arranged to read the written paraphrase. Cage made by strong, UV protected glasses. Unbreakable. Black covered man came close to the glass. He put the oval shaped metallic plate with handle on the glass, hold the handle, and pressed gently. Green liquid flew through the pores made on a disc, travelled to the corner. As he released the handle bar pressure, glass cut. It stick to the plate, and he lifted up the glass; settled on the floor. He tried to lift the sculpture with drawing. Signal warned the guards, as sculpture place left blank. Security guards came as fast as they could, at the place which was suggested by the siren. They caught the sight escaping the man in black cloth. But he was more faster than their eyes. He was gone.

Head of security came at the place. First gallery of the museum. Block UC 103 was missing. He was angry. He threw his cap. Guards were shocked. They had never seen such type of a behavior shown by their head. Eyes were worried. He put his right hand on his head.

The assistant put the case file on the table. Senior lighten up the cigarette, and flipped the pages of case file. All the details collected from the site were decorated in the file. All images.
