THE
NEW
JOURNEY
---chapter 6
The next morning, Ravien and Astro woke up early as usual, had breakfast, and got ready for the adventure. At that time, Ravien’s phone, lying on the desk, rang — the same tone as his Proto. It was a call from “EVD,” the car known as Carpool in the future.
Ravien said to Astro, “I don’t know why Proto’s AI is talking to EVE Company. I think something’s wrong with EVE.”
Astro replied, “Absolutely, it could be.”
Later, Ravien picked up his phone, Proto, and some food for the new adventure. He also told Astro to disappear and not to be captured under the 25th-century sensors.
Astro said, “But Bhaiya, my father, Ravi, didn’t create me like that.”
Ravien answered, “Think for a solution.”
Astro thought for a moment and said, “Hmm, I can use my disappearance feature, but we must stay in contact so I can locate you.”
Ravien nodded. “I have orientation for better locality. Okay, let’s go!”
Ravien opened the door. A flash of bright light reflected off a battalion-like Carpool. He slid the door open and entered the Carpool.
The Carpool went underground; it felt as if it was transporting. Ravien’s phone, a 21st-generation model, instantly shut down during transportation, as the process cut all signals for a single second.
Meanwhile, Astro was confused about where the Carpool had gone and why there was an error in location tracking. A second later, Ravien’s phone powered on slightly and began working again. Astro received a flash location message and followed it in her jetpack mode.
After a while, the Carpool stopped and announced, “Location reached. Please, Ravien, come through the right-hand door.”
As Ravien opened it, another announcement echoed from the next room: “Please come inside and tell us who you were sending the location to.”
Ravien replied, “No one. It’s a 21st-generation phone, so actions are often automatic.”
The AI apologized to Ravien for the confusion and instructed him to take a right, then a left, and step on the foot marks to teleport outside.
Ravien said, “I can just use the door,” and did so, leaving the Carpool. He knew that if he stepped on the foot marks, the AI would scan them and might try to uncover secrets about his phone’s location. But Ravien was smart.
After a while, the station lit up with yellow lights, showing a path toward the interior of a factory renovation. Ravien waited for Astro. While he waited, an announcement instructed everyone to walk, but Ravien remained still. The announcer then called out, “The person in the red T-shirt and pants, please walk through the chamber line as shown in the hall.”
Ravien knew that if he didn’t move, it would attract attention, so he started walking forward.
Then his phone rang — it was a message from Astro:
“I am under the factory railway line station, NH4, factory 1.2 portal number.”
Ravien replied, “I’m on 1.1.”
Astro told him, “Shut down your phone. Since it’s a 21st-generation model, it’s easy to hack. I’ll locate you through your Proto as a second agent.”
The message brought a smile to Ravien’s face, and he moved toward the railway chamber while shutting down his phone.
Ravien walked deeper into the dimly lit passage, the hum of distant machinery echoing through the underground corridors. The air grew colder as he passed through the silent chamber of the railway line. He paused when he noticed something unusual — a heavy metal door marked 1.4 Portal.
It was locked.
Ravien frowned. He remembered Astro’s last message before communication cut off — “Enter through the next portal. I’ll be waiting.”
“This must be it,” he murmured.
Glancing around to make sure no one was watching, Ravien activated the cloaking module embedded in his jacket. Within seconds, his presence faded from the factory’s 25th-century surveillance sensors — his image vanishing from every camera feed.
He moved quietly toward the door, studying its old security panel. It looked abandoned, the screen flickering faintly with static light. With a short spark from his proto-link, the system unlocked, and the door slid open with a hiss of cold air.
Inside, the corridor was narrow and dim, illuminated only by thin beams of light piercing through cracks in the metallic walls. Every step echoed softly, as if the place had been untouched for years.
As Ravien walked further, his proto vibrated. A faint blue hologram shimmered from its surface — a message pulsing with familiar energy.
Astro: “I am here, Ravien.”
An arrow-shaped direction appeared on the proto screen, guiding him through the maze-like tunnel. Ravien followed it carefully, passing through another set of narrow doors and old mechanical rails.
Finally, in the faint glow of an emergency light, he saw her — Astro — standing at the end of the corridor, her holographic aura flickering gently, surrounded by the faint hum of machinery.
Ravien exhaled with relief. “Astro… you found me.”
Astro smiled faintly, her digital form stabilizing. “I told you, Bhaiya. I never lose your signal — even in shadows.”
Ravien stepped forward, the metal door sliding shut behind him with a final, echoing thud. The world outside faded into silence as the secret chamber came alive with quiet, rhythmic pulses —(readers) this is the beginning of a new mystery waiting to unfold.
As they stealthily navigated through the dusty corridors of the factory, the air was thick with the scent of rust and decay. Dim light filtered through broken windows, casting eerie shadows on the walls. They whispered excitedly to each other, their hearts racing with anticipation.
After exploring the upper levels, they stumbled upon a hidden door at the end of a dimly lit hallway. With a gentle push, the door creaked open, revealing a narrow staircase that spiraled down into darkness. Without a second thought, they descended, their flashlights illuminating the way.
At the bottom, they found themselves in a vast basement that seemed to stretch endlessly. The walls were lined with old machinery, and the faint sound of dripping water echoed in the distance. But what caught their attention was a set of rusty tracks leading into the shadows.
“Do you think this leads to the NH3 factory?” Ravien asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
“Only one way to find out,” Astro replied, a grin spreading across his face.
They followed the tracks, their footsteps echoing in the silence. The air grew cooler as they ventured deeper, and the faint sound of a train whistle could be heard in the distance. It was both thrilling and unnerving.
Suddenly, they heard voices. They ducked behind a stack of crates, their hearts pounding. Peering out, they saw a group of men in dark uniforms, discussing something in hushed tones. Astro and Ravien exchanged worried glances; they had to be careful.
“Let’s wait for them to leave,” Ravien suggested, his eyes fixed on the men.
Minutes felt like hours as they held their breath, hoping not to be discovered. Finally, the men walked away, their voices fading into the distance. Seizing the moment, Astro and Ravien slipped out from their hiding spot and continued along the tracks.
As they approached a large, rusted door at the end of the tunnel, they could see faint light seeping through the cracks. With a deep breath, Astro pushed the door open, and they stepped into a cavernous room filled with old train cars and machinery.
“Wow,” Ravien breathed, taking in the sight. “This place is incredible!”
But their excitement was short-lived. In the corner of the room, they spotted a control panel with blinking lights and a large screen displaying maps of both factories. It was clear that this was a hub of factory, and they had stumbled upon something significant.
“Do you think we should try to access the system?” Ravien asked, his curiosity piqued.
Astro “What if we get caught? We don’t know how many human here.
But Ravien was already moving toward the panel. “We can’t leave without knowing what this is about. Just keep an eye out for any guards.”
As he began to press buttons, the screen flickered to life, revealing schematics of both factories and a series of encrypted files. Astro’s eyes widened. “This is bigger than we thought. They’re planning something big.”
Just then, a loud clang echoed through the room, and the door they had entered through slammed shut. Panic surged through them as they realized they were trapped. The sound of footsteps approached, and they quickly ducked behind a nearby train car, hearts racing.
“Think we can make a run for it?” Ravien whispered, his voice trembling.
Astro shook his head. “Not yet. We need to figure out what’s going on first. If we can gather some evidence, we might be able to expose whatever they’re planning.”
As the footsteps grew closer, they knew they had to act fast. They scanned the room for anything that could help them escape or gather information. Their adventure had taken a dangerous turn.
Astro tried a lot to hack their system but their nanosecond lock changes in a second. So, both ravien and Astro decided to wait for their turn.
After a while the man guard was going through the door.
Astro (curiosity) Ravien he was gone, let's drive the train car
As it chugged along the tracks, they stood at the open door, wind whipping through their hair.
"Astro, keep an eye on the cargo," Raven said, gazing out at the passing landscape.
"Affirmative, Raven," Astro replied, its sensors scanning the cargo hold.
As they approached the Abandoned NH6 Factory, Raven's eyes narrowed. "Astro, we're getting close. Be on high alert."
Suddenly, the train car lurched, and Astro's sensors picked up strange noises from within the factory.
"Raven, I'm detecting unusual activity," Astro warned.
Raven's grip on the doorframe tightened. "Let's investigate."
"Astro, report," Raven said, assessing their surroundings.
"I'm functioning within normal parameters," Astro replied, its sensors scanning the area. "But we're in a heavily fortified laboratory. I detect multiple security systems and...other entities."
Raven's eyes scanned the dimly lit lab, her hand on her utility belt.( with hi-tech guns tighted on the belt given by Astro) "Let's move cautiously. We don't know what we're up against."
As they explored the lab, they stumbled upon strange experiments and, abandoned equipment. Suddenly, Astro's sensors picked up movement from the shadows.
"What was that?" Raven whispered, her grip on her utility belt tightening.
Astro's lights flickered. "I'm detecting multiple hostiles. We need to be prepared for combat."
Raven nodded, her eyes locked on the darkness. "Let's gear up. We don't know what's coming for us.
Raven and Astro preparing for battle. Raven readied her gun, while Astro activated its defensive shield.
Suddenly, multiple robots emerged from the laboratory's corners, their red sensors glowing. Raven and Astro sprang into action.
Astro: They are security guards.
Raven fired her gun, while Astro deflected the robots' attacks with its shield. The battle intensified, and Raven and Astro showcased their skills.
Just then, a massive and powerful robot appeared, wielding a large machine gun. Raven and Astro spotted it and adjusted their strategy.
"Astro, how strong is your shield?" Raven asked.
"My shield is 80% charged," Astro replied.
Raven devised a plan. "Astro, you deflect that robot's attacks, and I'll sneak behind it and disable it."
Astro nodded and maintained its shield. Raven fired her gun, while Astro deflected the robot's attacks.
The robot started firring, but Astro blocked the blutes. Raven seized the opportunity to sneak behind the robot and disable its systems.
With the robot down, the remaining robots retreated. Raven and Astro caught their breath, surveying the aftermath.
"We need to find out what this lab was used for," Raven said, her eyes scanning the area.
Astro nodded. That's right this area is an lab, I am scanning for any hidden files or data."
Raven walked down the corridor, unaware of the danger lurking behind her. Suddenly, a robot with multiple guns and shears emerged from the shadows, attacking Raven from behind.
Astro sprang into action, instantly blocking the attack with its transparent shield. However, the shield shattered under the robot's powerful assault.
"Astro, your shield!" Raven exclaimed.
"I'm recharging," Astro replied, its systems humming as it prepared for the next phase of battle.
Raven and Astro launched a counterattack, utilizing their advanced tools. Raven fired her grappling hook, latching onto the robot's arm and momentarily disabling its gun.
Astro seized the opportunity, deploying its retractable claws and striking the robot's vulnerable joints.
The robot apologise astro but Raven doesn't focus on that dodged and weaved, using the corridor's pillars for cover. Astro continued to press the attack, its claws slicing through the robot's armor.
As the battle ended ⚔️, Raven complimented Astro we worked in perfect sync, our movements fluid and calculated. They were a formidable team, taking down the robot piece by piece.
Astro was last shook to remove head from it's body. Suddenly he spoke," please! I'm begging please don't destroy I can tell you all the things. Ravien: hmm! OK, tell us about why did you attack on us.(coming closer to robot's head ) ravien grabbed his head angrily. Robot: please! Please! Leave it, i can explain everything really. (Astro cautioned ravien to be careful) ravien told Astro that he hadn't had it's legs and even his arms, so how did he can harm me. Astro to ravien that's right but ravien be careful. Ravien: so Mr robot tell us why did you attack on us. Robot had told ravien that he was an security guard, he was commanded to attack on you both. Ravien: who was that person. Robot: I wasn't be able to see him because he had weared a black mask on his face, some guards said that his name was vexar storm but some said he was nightshade. No-one knows his correct name. He had also told us that he failed to kill us then he can be killed by that devil.
Suddenly lights of that loby on and flicked for some seconds an voice comes he was tolding to that disable guard that he was failed his mission and any moment he can be killed by him and he told 'refleo' start the process is creepy voice that revels refleo was be an AI or an system that was started to killing that disable guard motherboard = heart and decision-making=brain. Ravien to Astro: Astro, scope this process fast he was screaming. Astro instantly connect his cables to the robot and started to accessing the privacy system. After some minutes Astro shouted successful, I'm had hacked it. Astro typing faster than before and hacked the decision-making processor=brain and heart also. Astro said successful. Ravien: yeah!. Astro: bhaiya, please quite, he was near to us before Ravien said Astro said but he can't see us. Ravien: why, I am going to say the same. Astro laughs. Disable robot: thankyou you. Ravien: ahh! By the way what's your name. Robot: my name is 'vector', suddenly he cautions ravien.
