The Rainy Meeting - 1

Riya was a quiet girl who loved writing stories. Every day after college she went to a small café and wrote in her notebook. Writing made her happy.
One rainy evening, the café was crowded. A tall boy entered, shaking rain from his jacket. His name was Arjun.
He looked around for a seat and saw an empty chair at Riya’s table.
“Excuse me, can I sit here?” he asked politely.
Riya nodded. “Yes.”
Arjun noticed her notebook filled with words.
“You are writing a story?” he asked.
Riya smiled shyly. “Yes. I want to become a writer one day.”
Arjun said, “Don’t say want. Say you will become one.”
Riya looked surprised. No one had believed in her dream before.
That rainy evening became the beginning of a new friendship.
But neither of them knew their story would soon become love.
The rain outside the café became heavier. Water drops slowly slid down the glass window where Riya was sitting. She loved rainy weather because it made her feel calm and creative.
Riya opened her notebook again and continued writing her story. But after a few minutes she noticed Arjun looking at her notebook with curiosity.
“Can I read a little?” Arjun asked politely.
Riya felt a little nervous. No stranger had ever read her writing before. But something about Arjun felt friendly and kind.
“Okay… but it is not finished,” she said softly.
Arjun carefully read a few lines. The story was about a girl who believed in love even after many disappointments.
After reading, Arjun looked impressed.
“Your writing is beautiful,” he said. “It feels real.”
Riya smiled shyly. “Thank you. I usually keep my stories private.”
“Don’t hide them,” Arjun replied. “Stories like this should be shared with the world.”
His words made Riya feel happy. For the first time, someone truly appreciated her writing.
Outside, thunder echoed and the café lights flickered for a moment. Some people started leaving because of the heavy rain.
Arjun looked at the clock. “It seems the rain will not stop soon.”
Riya laughed softly. “Yes, maybe we are trapped here for a while.”
They started talking more. Arjun told her about his job, his love for music, and his dream to travel around the world. Riya shared her passion for books and writing.
Time passed quickly, and the rain slowly became lighter.
When Arjun finally stood up to leave, he smiled at Riya and said, “I hope we meet again, writer.”
Riya watched him walk out of the café.
For some reason, her heart felt warmer than before, as if that rainy evening had quietly started a new chapter in her life.

Riya slowly closed her notebook and looked at the café door where Arjun had just left. The rain had almost stopped, but her thoughts were still full of that unexpected meeting.
She wondered why his words stayed in her mind. No one had ever encouraged her writing like that before.
As she packed her bag, she smiled quietly.
“Maybe he was just being kind,” she thought.
But deep inside, she hoped she would see him again.
Outside, the cool evening breeze touched her face. Riya walked home with a small, happy feeling in her heart.
