THE GHOST BIKE
PART 1 — THE SECOND JOURNEY
Some journeys begin after the nightmare ends.

PROLOGUE
AFTER THE GHOST
The case was over.
The man responsible for Ananya’s disappearance had finally been brought before the law.
The strange Bajaj V15 was no longer the center of Arjun’s life.
At least, that was what he believed.
After everything that happened, Arjun wanted only one thing—
a normal life.
His medical course in Thiruvananthapuram was coming to an end.
The hospital corridors, examinations, night studies and endless practical sessions had become part of his daily life.
But sometimes, when he was alone, he remembered the bike.
The rain.
The headlight.
And the woman who had appeared in the mirror.
He never told anyone the complete truth.
People would never believe him.
So Arjun kept it inside.
---
CHAPTER 1
HOME
His course finally ended.
One evening, Arjun packed his belongings and left Thiruvananthapuram.
His destination was Angamaly.
Home.
After years away, the familiar roads felt different.
His mother stood at the doorway when he arrived.
“Finally you came home.”
Arjun smiled.
“Course finished.”
That night, for the first time in years, he slept without hearing the sound of a motorcycle engine.
No ghost.
No mysterious voice.
No nightmare.
Just silence.
For several months, life became ordinary.
And Arjun slowly began to believe that the worst part of his life was behind him.
He was wrong.

CHAPTER 2
A PART-TIME JOB
Arjun didn't want to sit at home.
He wanted to earn some money while deciding what to do next.
One afternoon, he joined Swiggy as a part-time delivery rider.
His delivery area included Perumbavoor and the surrounding roads.
Most deliveries were ordinary.
Restaurants.
Homes.
Apartments.
Small shops.
But there was one place he visited frequently.
A small Ayurveda hospital.
It wasn't a large modern hospital.
It was an old, quiet building surrounded by trees.
The hospital had only a few rooms.
A small reception.
A consultation room.
A treatment area.
And an old pharmacy filled with the smell of herbs and medicinal oils.
Arjun first went there to deliver food.
But something about the place caught his attention.
The doctor there was different.
He seemed to notice things other people didn't.
---
CHAPTER 3
THE SMALL AYURVEDA HOSPITAL
One rainy afternoon, Arjun arrived at the hospital for another delivery.
The doctor was standing near the entrance.
He looked at Arjun's delivery bag.
Then at him.
“You're studying medicine?”
Arjun smiled.
“I finished my course recently.”
The doctor nodded.
“What did you study?”
Arjun explained his training.
The doctor looked interested.
“You should study Ayurveda therapy.”
Arjun laughed.
“Me?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
The doctor didn't answer immediately.
Instead, he looked toward the old treatment room.
Then he said quietly:
“Because you seem to understand patients before they explain everything.”
Arjun thought he was joking.
But the doctor's expression remained serious.
---
CHAPTER 4
THE OTHER TRAINEE
A few days later, Arjun returned to the hospital.
The doctor introduced him to another trainee.
Her name was Meera.
She was learning Ayurveda therapy at the small hospital.
Unlike Arjun, she had been interested in Ayurveda for years.
They began talking.
At first, it was only about training.
Then patients.
Then the hospital.
But Meera eventually asked:
“Have you ever felt something strange in this place?”
Arjun looked at her.
“What do you mean?”
She hesitated.
“Sometimes, after everyone leaves, I hear footsteps in the treatment corridor.”
Arjun smiled.
“Old buildings make strange sounds.”
“I thought so too.”
She looked toward the corridor.
“But the footsteps always stop outside one particular room.”
Arjun's smile disappeared.
“Which room?”
Meera pointed.
At the end of the corridor was a locked wooden door.
---
CHAPTER 5
ROOM NUMBER 7
The door had no nameplate.
Only a small metal number:
7
Arjun asked the doctor about it.
The doctor became unusually quiet.
“That room isn't used anymore.”
“Why?”
“Old storage room.”
“Can I see it?”
“No.”
The answer came too quickly.
Arjun noticed.
That night, while finishing his delivery work, he returned to the hospital.
The rain was heavy.
The hospital was almost empty.
Arjun parked his scooter outside.
He was about to leave when he heard something.
Knock.
He stopped.
Another sound.
Knock. Knock.
It was coming from inside the hospital.
From behind—
Room 7.
---
CHAPTER 6
THE X-RAY
The next day, Arjun began his new training.
Part of his work involved learning basic diagnostic procedures and observing X-ray-related examinations.
One evening, while looking through an old set of hospital records, he found something strange.
A patient's name appeared repeatedly.
ANJALI K.
The date was from years earlier.
Arjun looked at the file.
Then at the hospital.
Something felt familiar.
He opened the attached old X-ray report.
There was nothing unusual about the image itself.
But written on the back of the film was a handwritten note:
“DO NOT SEND HER TO ROOM 7.”
Arjun froze.
The same room.
The same hospital.
And suddenly—
the lights went out.
---
CHAPTER 7
THE WOMAN IN THE CORRIDOR
The emergency lights came on.
Arjun looked toward the corridor.
Someone was standing there.
A woman.
She was wearing an old-fashioned hospital dress.
Her face was partly hidden by her wet hair.
Arjun called out.
“Hello?”
She didn't respond.
She slowly walked toward Room 7.
Then stopped.
She turned toward him.
For a second, Arjun couldn't breathe.
Her eyes looked directly at him.
Then she disappeared.
Arjun ran to the corridor.
Nothing.
Only the locked door.
But something had changed.
The lock was hanging open.
---
CHAPTER 8
THE DOCTOR'S SECRET
Arjun confronted the doctor.
“What happened in Room 7?”
The doctor remained silent for a long time.
Finally, he said:
“Years ago, this wasn't just a treatment room.”
“What was it?”
“A place where an old patient was kept during a difficult case.”
“What happened to her?”
“She disappeared.”
Arjun felt a chill.
“Like Ananya?”
The doctor looked at him sharply.
“How do you know that name?”
Arjun said nothing.
The doctor understood.
“You've already seen a ghost before.”
Arjun's face changed.
The doctor continued:
“Then you should know something.”
“What?”
“Ghosts don't always follow places.”
He looked toward Room 7.
“Sometimes they follow people.”
---
CHAPTER 9
THE SECOND JOURNEY
That night, Arjun couldn't sleep.
He remembered the Bajaj V15.
Ananya had wanted justice.
Now another mystery had appeared.
But this time there was no ghost bike.
No old road.
No connection to 2017 that he could see.
Only a small Ayurveda hospital.
Room 7.
An old X-ray.
And a woman nobody wanted to talk about.
At midnight, Arjun received a message.
UNKNOWN NUMBER
> **“You shouldn't have opened the file.”**
Arjun stared at the screen.
Another message arrived.
> **“Now she knows you.”**
He slowly looked toward his bedroom window.
Outside, in the darkness—
he heard a faint sound.
Not a motorcycle.
Not footsteps.
Something else.
A soft metallic sound.
Click.
Like an old X-ray machine being switched on.
Arjun got up.
The room was empty.
His phone vibrated again.
One final message appeared:
> **“ROOM 7 — TOMORROW.”**
Arjun stared at the screen.
He knew what he had to do.
He was going back.
Not as a delivery rider.
Not as a student.
But as someone who had already survived one ghost story.
And this time—
the ghost had chosen him first.

END OF PART 1
The second journey has begun.
To be continued…
