15- Competitor:

Today a new ghost joined the company of ghosts.

The incumbent ghost was young and smart enough.

After his arrival, the other ghosts felt that this new incumbent was too shy and silent. He seldomly says anything to other ghosts too when asked twice or thrice.

All the ghosts decided to ask this new incumbent about his death and his silence. While in a meeting one ghost asked him about his untimely death.

The young ghost replied that he lost his life in saving the life of another person.

A senior ghost made a counter question ‘were you loving the person whose life you saved?’

No, he was my competitor. We both were loving the same girl. The young ghost replied.

Does it mean that you were loving your girlfriend utmost? Another ghost asked.

What do you mean by ‘I was loving?’ I still love her from the bottom of my heart.

Then why you saved the life of your competitor. Go on the earth and destroy him. Now you are a ghost and you can do it easily. A ghost suggested the young ghost.

No, I can’t do this because my girlfriend loves him like anything after marrying him. She is treating him like god. The young incumbent ghost said and became silent.

16-Alas:

Really, she was utmost beautiful. The watcher says that they have not seen such beauty for long. It seems that the god made her by paying special attention. Her movements wounded so many watchers.

Once, while she was walking through a lane an ill mouthed watcher threw a dialogue ‘alas she would have been my wife.’

Nearby watchers laughed loudly.

Yet another rascal said ‘wow, what a killer she is? Alas she would have been the mother of my children.’

Again, other watchers laughed.’

A young but ugly chap standing nearby cooed ‘alas! She would have been my mother.

The watchers laughed this time in a manner as if the chap is a fool.

Mr. B is a very slow driver of the vehicle because he always thinks that better late than never.

One day because of my negligence my bike dashed his scooter from the rear and Mr. B fell on the road

with his scooter.

Mr. B was furious and was staring at me.

Before Mr. B could do or say anything, I controlled myself and tapped his back saying ‘you fool you drive your vehicle so casually that one day somebody will kill you from the rear, my dear.’

Mr. B exclaimed Oh! It is you john rascal. What a surprise? We are meeting after a long time. John bastard! you haven’t changed at all.

You fool, before dashing my scooter you did not think that I may have been injured seriously?

I did not waste a single minute there and flee from there as neither I, nor Mr. B knew each other.

18-Compulsive liar:

The boss fell in love with his beautiful secretary and often they both started dating and visiting different lovely places.

One day both went to a famous garden to spend some quality time. On the lonely corner of the garden they both lay side by side on recently mowed grass and spent a few hours there. All the time both were showing commitment towards each other and planned their future.

While leaving the garden both shrugged their clothes and left for their houses with lovely memories of their partnership.

At home, the wife of the boss asked him about the green spots on the clothes of her husband.

The husband told her that he is in love with his secretary and both have planned to marry, I am just coming by leaving my secretary at her home spending five hours in the garden with her only. Therefore, the clothes got these spots of green grass from the garden.

The wife of the boss smiled and taunted ‘you always behave like a dog tail, and you will never improve. You are a compulsive liar. It seems that today you fielded the whole day without getting a chance to bat.’

19-Hooked in own hook:

He was of the opinion that if one is smart enough, he can dodge everyone all the time, and till a long time he proved to be right.

He never purchased a ticket while travelling be it bus or be it train and escaped without paying penalty by his sheer intelligence and cunningness only.

Emboldened by his opinion he boarded the train this time also without a proper ticket. After some time, the ticket checking staff asked him to show his travelling authority. He immediately said to the conductor that he is the son of Mr. “A” the member of the ticket checking team and his father met with an accident therefore he was going to see him in the hospital and in a hurry, he could not purchase the ticket.

The conductor asked him, ‘my son do you know your father well?’

‘Uncle! What rubbish you are asking? Who in the world doesn't know his father?’ He showed his anguish.

The conductor calmly indicated the chap,

towards the nameplate he was bearing on his coat. The nameplate was bearing the name Mr. “A”.

20-Be aware of dog:

Now they both came out on the road quarrelling with each other.

Neighbours were stunned by seeing their fight because they were knowing that these two quarrelling gentlemen were close friends.

Also the place where these two were quarrelling was the door of the house of one of them Mr. X. Mr. X was known for his calmness and gentleman ship.

Mr. X was not much literate but by his honesty,

labour and willingness to earn made him wealthy in a span of ten years. As the money came, came the pseudo qualities of the wealthiest.

Mr. X adopted an Alsatian dog and used to walk with the dog every morning and evening by holding the dog’s chain.

Also, a caution board he clipped on the door with a warning ‘Be aware of the dog.’

This was not the end of pseudo qualities of the wealthiest. Mr. X adopted. He started using liquor and also partying with the friends at home. Today Mr. X arranged a liquor party with his closest friend with whom he was quarrelling in front of his house.

The party ended on a high and Mr. X came out of his house with his friend to see him off. The quarrelling started only when his friend read the board, clipped on the main door. The friend who was fully drunk, read the board as ‘Be aware you dog.’ and felt Insulted.

21-Highly sentimental:

Mr. Z is a very sensitive gentleman especially when somebody from his friend circle fell ill or hurted. He loves and cares his friend too much and is always ready to help him or her.

I am not saying this to please Mr. Z but can give you the proof of it.

Let me give you an example which goes as one day Mr. Z went to his friend Mr. X. Mr. X was in the bathroom but Mrs. X welcomed Mr. Z and went to the kitchen to prepare tea leaving her two years old son with Mr. Z.

Mr. X and his wife both entered the drawing room simultaneously where Mr. Z was playing with the baby who was handsome but abnormally healthy.

Mr. Z smiled and praised the son ‘Mrs. X your son is very cute and healthy’.

Mr. X, who was doing his hair setting in front of the mirror also smiled and said ‘Mr. Z it is nothing, when he was born, he was so healthy that Mrs. X took a few stitches in the hospital.

Oh! exclaimed Mr. Z as he became highly sentimental and asked Mrs. X to show him the stitches stating that it might have healed till now.

22-Correction:

Mr. K was a famous orator and was being called in almost on every stage particularly during seminars in colleges and universities.

Whenever he used to be on mike the spectators glued to their seats. He was not only a good orator but was having hold of the subject and words he chooses while on stage. He was brilliant too in changing the narrations promptly

if needed. He was a master in quoting references, idioms, axioms and old wise sayings at appropriate time and place.

Once Mr. K was called in to a college as a chief guest to address the students on the subject “Who are ahead in study, girls or boys?

After all the students finished their orations the chief guest Mr. K was requested by the principal to give his concluding speech.

Mr. K started his concluding speech appreciating the efforts of the college in holding such seminars regularly. And when he concluded that fifty percent of girl students are lagging behind in study to the boy students, a mob of girls started shouting ‘it is wrong, it is not acceptable to us.’ Despite several requests by the staff and principal, the girls did not stop shouting.

Girls were demanding an apology from Mr. K. for his unjust and insulting statement about girl students.

The girl student stopped shouting only when Mr. K apologized saying ‘I beg your pardon ladies; it was not to insult you. Actually, I was trying to say that fifty percent of girl students are not lagging behind the boy students.

23 - She is like this only:

Who does not know Mrs. P. before marriage she was Ms. T. her father was a well-known businessman of the city and she was the only child of her father.

Mr. P was from a poor family and nowadays he was staying with his wife in his father in law’s house. After marrying Ms. T, he became wealthy but became poorer in his freedom.

On the other side Mrs. P was arrogant by nature and the other side Mr. P was shy. It was not that only P was fearing Mrs. P but the staff working in her father’s factory was also fearing her. Actually Mrs. P was the de facto boss of the factory, though she seldomly visits the factory because she was having a little time from kitty parties at her home.

At what time Mr. P came home and at what time he left for the factory, Neither Mrs. P was interested to know it nor Mr. P to let her know because of the nature of Mrs P.

He was well aware that if she started taking interest in his daily routine it will be troublesome for him. One can say he was avoiding Mrs P.

Mr. P was well aware that Mrs. P does not need any reason to quarrel and then to scold him.

Today also there was no reason to scold Mr. P. but it happened.

The only reason was that the shirt Mr. P wore, was one of the two shirts which Mrs. P purchased yesterday for him. Mrs. P shouted at Mr. P stating why he has not worn the other shirt which she bought for him. Was that shirt thorny? You don’t deserve the quality clothes.

Mr. P left for the factory silently.
