Ayngaran Foundation provides food and groceries to thousands of needy people through Akshya Dharma initiative

Ayngaran Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Mr.Sasi Krishnasamy and Mr.Vince Thomas, has been running a social response initiative called Akshya Dharma since 2020. The initiative aims to help poor families by providing them with groceries, food, and medicines.

Akshya Dharma, which means “eternal duty” in Sanskrit, is based on the principle of serving humanity with compassion and kindness. The initiative has been reaching out to low-income and vulnerable communities in more than 20 settlements across Tamil Nadu and Kerala, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the official website of Akshya Dharma1, the initiative has served more than 50,000 needy people from 2019 till now. The initiative distributes food grains packets including rice, oil, dal, atta (flour), soap, sugar, and biscuits, as well as cooked food that is hygienically prepared and given to the homeless along with a fruit.

The initiative also provides support to daily and weekly wage workers who have been affected by the lockdown and have no access to food or water. The initiative gives them basic grocery provisions for one month for a family of five.

The Ayngaran Foundation, which is located in Palani, a spiritual town in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, operates with a team of powerful young self-motivated, spiritual, kind-hearted volunteers. The foundation’s main motto is to help needy people, provide education to poor ones, and carry out various social responsibilities.

The foundation also runs other projects such as Veda Bodhi Vanam, a spiritual retreat center in Palani, and Ayngaran USA and Ayngaran UK, which are branches of the foundation in the United States and the United Kingdom respectively.

The founder of Ayngaran Foundation, Mr.Sasi Krishnasamy, said that he was inspired by his spiritual guru Jaggi Vasudev to start the foundation and Akshya Dharma. He said that he wanted to spread the message of love and peace through meditation and service. He also said that he was grateful to his co-founder Mr.Vince Thomas for his support and guidance.

The chairman of Ayngaran Foundation, Mr.Vince Thomas, said that he was proud of the work done by Akshya Dharma and the volunteers. He said that he believed that every human being has a right to food and dignity. He also said that he hoped that Akshya Dharma would inspire more people to join hands and make a difference.

One of the beneficiaries of Akshya Dharma, Ms.Rani, a daily wage worker from Coimbatore, said that she was thankful to Ayngaran Foundation for providing her with food and groceries during the lockdown. She said that she had lost her job due to the pandemic and had no means to feed her family. She said that Akshya Dharma was a blessing for her and many others like her.

The foundation recently celebrated the Deepavali festival by distributing food and groceries to more than 10,000 people across Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The foundation also plans to expand its activities to other states and countries in the future.
