## PROJECT S4 (BASED ON TRUE EVENTS)

---

### INTRODUCTION

This story revolves around a 17-year-old teen boy who recollects his memories while looking at his old photos. Each photo recalls his past actions and regrets. Finally, he looks at one photo and gets stunned, tears flooding his eyes (scene cuts there). Why did he react like that to that photo? What's in it, and what happened in his past?! Let's jump into the plot.

### STRUCTURE

---

## ACT 1: THE EMPTY SKY

The story starts with a teen boy named Vesh. He is casually holding a mug full of black tea and coming into a room with a computer, sitting calmly. Suddenly, his close friend sends him an old photo of him and that friend. Vesh looks at the photo and replies to his close friends, "Hey Riti and Basheer, that's a nice picture, guys."

They both were sharing old photos with each other, laughing at the funny pictures and enjoying recollecting the memories. When Vesh searches for an old photo in his album, suddenly, a photo flashes in his eyes. Vesh sees that photo and is stunned for a second. He dives into a pool of depression and regret. His heart tends to beat faster, his breath gets heavier, and he is literally struggling to breathe. His chest feels heavy, his body starts shivering eventually.

He drags his chair back by pushing his legs against the floor, staring at the old photo. In that photo, he sees his first female friend standing on her house's terrace, looking to the right side. Once he had a crush on her, and later he developed love for her. Later, the story reveals something about his past life. There, Vesh falls into the prose of his lovable memories...

## ACT 2: PAST CLOUDS

Vesh studied in SNM School from Pre-KG to his 7th grade (until he was 12 years old). He got so many memories there. Among those memories, there is one he won't forget till his last breath. The flashback begins.

Vesh has a cousin (Vesh's dad's younger brother's daughter) named Abika. Abika is three months younger than Vesh. When Vesh was studying in Class 1C, Abika was actually studying in Class 1B. One fine day, Vesh's class teacher was absent. In the morning, the subject teachers came and taught in the class, but in the evening, there were no teachers. So, the students of Class 1C were sent to Class 1B for a combined class.

Vesh is an artistic guy and a topper as well. When Vesh entered the class, he saw his cousin and then sat with his friends. Vesh had colour pencils (Faber-Castell). His cousin Abika asked for those colour pencils for herself and also for her friends. Vesh agreed. All of Abika's friends took most of the colour shades. Vesh sat there, staring at the girls scribbling in their notebooks with his colour pencils, holding the open colour pencil box on his thighs.

Then, one cute girl came up to him and asked for a colour pencil. Her name is Viya. There, he saw something special in her eyes. He was looking at her without answering. She asked again for the pink colour pencil. Then Vesh came back to the real world and searched for that pencil. The pencil was not there. He patiently asked Viya to wait for a minute, shouted at his cousin asking for that colour pencil, and handed it over to Viya. There, he saw a little smile on her lips.

At that instant, suddenly, the teacher called everyone for dispersal. So, Vesh left the classroom after recollecting all his colour pencils from all of them. This incident did something special inside him, but this was not love.

Later, he became usual and came to school as usual as a kid, and Class 1C ended.

He was promoted to Class 2C. On the reopening day of school, Vesh came to school as a Class 2 student. He sat in the class with excitement for the new Class 2C. Suddenly, Viya entered the classroom. He looked at her and felt happier. Then only he knew her name was Viya. But Vesh didn't feel anything inside him.

Later, the classes went on; days moved as clouds move. Then, the class teacher made all the boys sit with girls. By chance, Vesh sat with Viya. One fine day, Vesh noticed that Viya's brother came to pick her up to go home. Vesh noted this and mentioned that he saw Viya's brother. Later, Viya confirmed that Vesh hadn't seen Viya's brother—that guy who called Viya was actually Viya's brother's friend.

Then slowly, he started to talk with her. Viya also talked with him so well. They became friends. Vesh did some movie recreations to impress Viya and his other friends, like hiding a toothpick in his mouth and stretching it out (an excerpt from the movie *Anjaan*), and he did even more things.

Viya is actually playful. She often pinched Vesh's thighs and threw Vesh's pencil box. But Vesh never got angry about it. During break time, when Vesh walked through the rushing crowds of students heading to the toilets, Viya would walk through the crowd and silently attack Vesh by hitting him or pinching him. Sometimes she complained to Abika about something suspicious regarding Vesh. Vesh took these things playfully.

Days later, the class teacher changed Vesh's place and made him sit near another girl in his classroom named Shabin. Basically, Vesh doesn't like to drink or eat dairy products like milk, especially curd and ghee. But Shabin often brought curd rice and milk rice for lunch. She often irritated Vesh by forcefully bringing a spoon full of curd rice to his mouth. He got irritated and ignored it, but she often brought it to him because she enjoyed it.

Finally, the annual exams came. During that time, Vesh sat near Viya and presented a small drawing to her as a symbol of memory. The drawing was about a person experiencing a natural scenario, because in Grade 3 they might be separated.

## ACT 3: RAINY

### PART A

The charming young fellow Vesh was promoted to Grade 3B. On the reopening day, he was expecting Viya to come to his classroom. The expectation was fulfilled. As he expected, she entered the classroom. Vesh was so excited and eagerly longing to talk with her. But he didn't have the chance to talk with her.

As days passed, the class teacher felt that the boys were annoying and noisy, so she made all the boys sit near the girls. Actually, the total strength of boys and girls in the class was 23 and 15 respectively. Among the boys, Vesh was the last roll number, and among the girls, Viya was the last roll number. But unfortunately, the girls sat near the first 15 boys, and the remaining sat as usual with boys. Vesh felt very sad. But he never lost his mind.

As usual, he spent his time with his friends. The first 15 boys slowly reduced their annoyance in the classroom. The teacher noticed that the first 15 boys remained silent, but the remaining boys were annoying. So she shifted all the girls to sit near the last 15 students. At that time, Viya sat near Vesh. Vesh was very happy about it and started chatting with her. Both were playful.

When the teacher started teaching, Vesh would start writing first, so Viya would throw his pencil box away. Then Vesh would crunge things down. Here, Viya overtook Vesh in taking notes. If the teacher gave any drawing work, most of the boys would give their notebooks to Vesh, and sometimes some girls too, but Viya wouldn't give her notebook to Vesh. Instead, she would give it to another boy named Akash, who also drew well but not like Vesh (master level). Vesh often got possessive.

Simultaneously, Shabin developed affection for Vesh. Shabin was in Vesh's cousin Abika's classroom (Grade 3A). The class teacher of Grade 3A was Vesh's Grade 1C class teacher, named Sri. Sri liked Vesh because he was a good boy, a topper student, and he obeyed all her words.

Shabin called her classmates and said, "Bring Suvesh to the corridor." So her classmates forcefully tried to push Vesh outside the classroom. But Vesh was still holding the jamb of the classroom door. Finally, they pushed Vesh out of the classroom, and the classmates locked his arms and legs by holding them tightly. Later, Shabin came towards Vesh with a smile, knocked Vesh's head, got slightly shy, smiled at him, and went away. Then those classmates left him.

The next day, the same thing happened. Vesh calmly avoided taking action on it. The day after tomorrow, the same thing happened again. Vesh lost his mind, got angry, and complained to Abika. Abika complained to her class teacher (Sri). Immediately, Sri called Shabin and slapped her on the face twice. From those slaps, Shabin got a black mark on her jawline. After this, Shabin never came into Vesh's path.

One day, Classes 3A and 3B were combined because the class teacher of Grade 3A was on leave that day. In that combined class, Abika noticed that Viya was trying to pinch Vesh's thigh, and he was holding her hands, trying to stop those pinches. Abika suspected something fishy and asked Vesh about the incident. Vesh casually explained the scenario and went to have dinner.

The next day, suddenly the class teacher changed Vesh's place and made him sit with another annoying girl named Harshi. She was the class leader and had an over-attitude. As soon as Vesh came to sit with her, she made plenty of rules. He should not cross the boundary she made on the table. She split the table into 70% and 30% by drawing a line—the 70% was for her, and the remaining space was for Vesh. If Vesh crossed the boundary, she would throw his things and start beating him. Vesh was vexed and very sad about how he was going to spend the remaining time with her.

The next day, Viya was sitting in Harshi's place, and Harshi was sitting somewhere else. Vesh was confused and rushed near Viya and asked, "What happened? Why did teacher change the place again?" Viya didn't give any proper explanation and simply said, "Teacher only made me sit near you again." Vesh was very happy.

Viya and Vesh teased their classmates as a combo; everything became funnier. Suddenly, Vesh's class teacher was absent for weeks because she wasn't feeling well. The boys and girls in the classroom changed their places and sat as they wanted. Boys sat with boys, and girls sat with girls. Vesh and Viya alone sat together. In the column of benches behind Vesh and Viya were filled with girls. Every girl teased Viya and Vesh for sitting together. Harshi shouted, "Vesh is a girl sitting with a girl," and other boys also annoyed Vesh to come outside. Vesh avoided such things, and Viya did the same—she also didn't move from her place.

Suddenly, Sri teacher came to Class 3B and questioned Vesh, "Did all the students change their allotted places?" Vesh said, "Yes, teacher." Then the teacher brought a bamboo stick and asked Vesh, "Tell me who all changed their places." Vesh named those students. Then the teacher started hitting the students who had changed their own places. Viya and Vesh were appreciated by the teacher for their obedience.

After this incident, friends started teasing that Vesh and Viya shared some bond other than friendship. Vesh started to notice something. In the morning, Viya would say, "Don't sit closer. Keep some space between the chairs." One chair would be at one end of the table, and another at the other end. She would also split the table into two halves and make it a boundary. But in the evening, when school ended, Viya and Vesh would leave that place, and the two separated chairs would be attached together and closer.

Vesh often asked Viya who she loved the most in the class, later in their row of benches, later again on their bench. She usually wouldn't answer. But later, one day when Vesh asked the same question to Viya, Viya showed her hand and pointed at Vesh. Vesh's body became lighter, and he felt something special inside him, but he couldn't figure out what that was!

### PART B

At the same time, Harshi manipulated a new student named Krithi to love Vesh, and Krithi pretended to love Vesh. Vesh was not okay with it. Harshi often teased Vesh with Krithi.

One fine day, Vesh forgot to do his social activity—nearly 10 activities. The activity was to stick pictures on the back side of the social notebook. The social teacher strictly said she would enter the marks in the register. If somebody didn't do the activity, she would give zero marks. So Vesh was anxious to complete the activities on time; otherwise, the teacher would award zero marks. But he had all the required materials like scissors and stickers for the activity.

Here, Viya came and helped Vesh do the activity by cutting the stickers, and Krithi also accompanied Viya and started doing Vesh's project. The teacher started entering marks by calling students one by one. Since Vesh was the last roll number, he had the advantage of completing the project. Vesh had one scissor for cutting the stickers, but Viya and Krithi were fighting for that one scissor. Viya got the scissor finally, and Krithi took the scale to cut the stickers and stuck every picture on the back side of the notebook.

Vesh thanked both. Simultaneously, the teacher called his name, and he showed the activities. The teacher gave 10/10 for those 10 activities. Vesh was very happy and again thanked both of them. Suddenly, there was a fight between Viya and Krithi. Both of them asked Vesh, "Who is your best friend?" Vesh paused for a second and looked at both of them again and again. Then he apologised to Krithi and said, "Viya is my best friend."

Another day, Viya as usual played with Vesh like throwing his pencil box from the table when he was seriously writing computer notes. He got angry and immediately slapped Viya's face. In fear of having slapped a girl, he asked for permission and went to the toilet. He was in fear of Viya's reaction. But Viya didn't do anything.

Later, Diwali came. The day before Diwali, every student had to bring sweets and chocolates to share with others. So Vesh brought some sweets and shared them with classmates, old class teachers, and subject teachers. Finally, he came to Viya, and he fed the sweets to Viya, and she did the same to him.

Later, the school planned an educational trip to Tuticorin and Nellai. Some of Viya's friends blackmailed Vesh that they would complain to Abika about the slap on Viya's face. Finally, Viya's friends complained about Vesh's slap to Abika. But Abika didn't take any severe action. She asked about it to Vesh, and Vesh confessed.

The trip went well, and Vesh enjoyed with his friends. On the trip, while returning home, the art teacher played a Tamil movie (*Kavalai Vendam*). Everyone in the bus watched the movie. But Vesh couldn't see the movie clearly, so he stood up on his seat and watched. Viya and her friends were sitting behind him and shouted at him for blocking the movie screen. First, Vesh sat down. But later, he got interested in watching that movie, so he didn't move and watched the movie. Viya and her friends shouted, but he didn't move. Later, halfway through the movie, he returned home safely.

Later, after the classmates' place-changing moment, Vesh's friends insisted and teased him that Viya loved him and he also had some feelings for her. Then Vesh thought it was love without knowing its actual meaning.

### PART C

Vesh had a closest best friend and a neighbour named Basheer. They were friends from Pre-KG till now. Though they studied together in Pre-KG to UKG in the same class, they remained friends till now. Vesh had a brother named Mith. These trio gang (Vesh, Basheer, Mith) often used to walk together when they returned home.

Like that, one fine day when they were returning home, Mith playfully hit Basheer. Basheer got angry and hit him back. Vesh interfered and calmed both of them. So they both had a clash between them.

One fine day, Vesh and Mith went to play with Basheer. Vesh went with his cycle. Basheer wanted a ride on it. Simultaneously, Mith was also stubborn about riding it. Vesh convinced Mith and gave a ride to Basheer. This made Mith extremely angry, and Mith again hit Basheer. Vesh stopped Basheer from riding and gave the cycle to Mith. Then Mith got the cycle and hit Basheer forcefully. Basheer got angry and scolded Mith. Mith left Vesh and went home to complain about Vesh—that Vesh didn't allow Mith to ride the cycle. So Vesh scolded Basheer again and went to convince his brother. Here, Basheer and Vesh's friendship had a crack and a break.

### PART D

Riti was also a student who studied in Grade 3B with Vesh. But Vesh didn't mind about him. Riti is a good chess player.

## ACT 4: JET STREAM

Vesh was promoted to Class 4A, but Viya went to Class 4B. This made Vesh disappointed, and he was very depressed about it. He didn't like his class teacher either. She was very rude and short-tempered. Vesh was very depressed, his performance in studies worsened, his parents scolded him often, and he was worrying frequently. Finally, he planned to die.

But one day, his class teacher advised one of his class girls who had said the same thing as Vesh. The teacher advised that girl, "Why should you want to die now? There's a long way to go. Stay calm and just focus on your studies. Everything will come to you at the right time."

After this moment, Vesh's life graph rose. He became a topper again. His life became fire mode.

Later, the school planned for an Annual Day celebration. Vesh also participated in a dance show (theme: All Indian styles of dances). There, he noticed Viya also participated. The dance teacher asked everyone participating in the dance show to form a line. Vesh also stood in the line. Unfortunately, Vesh let his friend stand in front of him. He had a chance to hold Viya's hands while dancing in a particular portion. But Vesh missed that chance because he let his friend stand in front of him. So that friend had a chance of holding her hands while dancing. Again Vesh was upset, but he didn't lose his mind.

Later, Annual Day came. When they were backstage, the dance teacher made everyone sit in rows—boys in one row, girls in another. There, Vesh had a chance to sit near Viya. So he was very happy with that. But Vesh's another friend pushed Vesh playfully, and Vesh unstably landed his hands forcefully on Viya's hand. There, Viya's glass bangles broke. She was angry and tended to complain to the dance teacher. But here also, she didn't complain to the teacher.

Then, successfully, the Annual Day celebration ended. Though Vesh made Viya angry, he had some little happiness in his heart.

## ACT 5: CLOUDY

After some years, Vesh, Basheer, and Abika came together in the same Class 5B. Both (Vesh and Basheer) entered the class simultaneously, saying, "We're enemies." But later, Abika developed an affection for Basheer and forced Vesh to talk with him again. That's how Vesh and Basheer became friends again.

Here, Vesh made a treaty with Abika: Abika would convince Viya and become her friend. So here, Vesh took steps for Abika to again become a friend of Basheer. Basheer and Vesh forgave each other and became friends again.

Sometimes, the teacher would write notes in Class 5A (Viya's class) and ask Class 5B students to get notes from another class (Class 5A) for writing. Vesh would fight for the notebook for copying the notes. Basheer helped him get her notes.

Vesh joined the chess club, where he met Riti. There, sometimes Vesh had some little conversations with Riti. But they weren't good friends yet.

## ACT 6: DRIZZLE

### PART A

Vesh was promoted to Class 6B, and again Vesh and Basheer were in the same class. They were vibing and enjoying their life. After the first term ended, the school management decided to split the classes—toppers in one class and others separated according to their marks.

During the splitting of classes, the class teacher read the names of the topper students. Basheer was also in the namelist, except Vesh. Then the teacher made those students move to another class, 6A. Everyone was crying that they would miss their own friends. Mostly everyone (teachers and friends) asked if Vesh and Basheer would be separated.

Meanwhile, Viya came to Vesh's class. Viya was also crying about missing her friends in another class. Now Vesh was at the centre of friendship and affection. He was in chaos.

Finally, Vesh went to the teacher and asked her, "Teacher, which class should I go to?" She again checked the namelist. And she said, "Oh, I missed your name." She checked and said, "You should go to Class 6A." Vesh felt joy and went to Class 6A cheerfully. There, Basheer was almost about to cry, but when he saw Vesh, Basheer came to Vesh and hugged him. Everyone was delighted about the reunion of these friends.

Later, the school management planned for new club activities. The teacher asked for participants in each club activity. Vesh said to Basheer, "Add my name in chess club." But Basheer added Vesh's name in Silambam club activity. Initially, Vesh got angry at Basheer. But later, Vesh noticed that Viya was also in the same club. Vesh calmed down and thanked Basheer. Basheer wanted to do something sportively, so he made Vesh participate in the Silambam club. This was entirely a fortunate situation where Viya was also in the Silambam Club.

### PART B

Vesh reminded Abika about the slap on Viya's face. So Abika started to speak with Viya by reminding her of Vesh's slap. Viya was able to recollect those memories, and then Abika and Viya became friends. They mocked Vesh sometimes.

**Rain Drop 1:**

Later, Abika and Basheer slowly walked away from affection. This severely affected Abika—that Basheer wasn't responding to Abika. So Abika was depressed. She informed her another friend Shabin to call Vesh. Actually, Vesh was in the Silambam club practicing. Suddenly, Shabin came there and called Vesh. Vesh didn't respond to her. Shabin came closer to Vesh and insisted he listen to her words. Shabin said, "Come near me, I want to say something very important in your ears." Vesh kept on moving. Shabin started chasing him and following Vesh. Vesh was running away from her. Others in the club doubted Vesh because Vesh said he was in love with Viya, but Shabin was chasing him.

Finally, Vesh stopped and breathed slowly and said to Shabin, "Wait please, say anything but keep distance. My hearing ability is very good enough." She said, "Your cousin Abika is so depressed because Basheer didn't respond to her." Vesh said, "Oh, yeah I know. Okay, I will talk to her as soon as the club activity ends." Then Shabin went off. Vesh also went to Abika and made her calm down.

**Rain Drop 2:**

Later, Abika and Shabin were crossing the Silambam club. Abika wanted to talk with Vesh. So Abika and Shabin came to Vesh, and they were talking about Basheer's response to Abika's affection. Meanwhile, Shabin came forward and slowly started to pick Vesh's hand and hold it. Shabin shyly looked at Vesh and told Abika about her playful things with Vesh. She said, "When we were in Class 2C, I played with your cousin—I pinched him and softly hit him."

Vesh was stunned and stood like a statue. Shabin was pinching Vesh's hand and playfully, shyly looking at Vesh. Suddenly Abika interrupted and immediately hit Shabin's hand and pulled her back. Shabin left Vesh's hand. Still, Vesh stood like a statue. Abika scolded Shabin, "Why are you holding his hands? He is my cousin. So stay away from him!" Then they left. Shabin shyly said bye to Vesh.

Basheer came as soon as they went. Basheer teased Vesh, "Please close your mouth—there were two mosquitoes and three houseflies that went inside through your mouth, and also clean the saliva spilling out of your mouth." Vesh immediately cleaned it and stopped Basheer from teasing him. Both went to pick up all the bamboo sticks in the Silambam club and kept them in the sports room.

**Rain Drop 3:**

Again one day, Vesh was looking for Viya in the Silambam club. Suddenly, Basheer ran towards Vesh, and Basheer pushed Vesh for a smack down. Instead, unfortunately, Vesh fell on Basheer, and Basheer was crushed like paper by Vesh. Later, Basheer and Vesh stood up, stretching their bodies. There, Viya and Abika giggled seeing this scenario. Basheer and Vesh shamefully moved out of the scene.

**Rain Drop 4:**

Again, the chaos girl Shabin and her friend Viya were walking in the Silambam club. Vesh planned to show his peak performance and said to the girls, "I am going to spin the stick fastly. So, girls please go aside." Viya and Shabin forcefully walked towards Vesh to stop him. Eventually, Shabin crossed Vesh and got hit by the fast-moving bamboo stick. Her hands turned reddish, and she cried a lot.

Suddenly, Viya called Shabin and complained about Vesh to their master. The master called Vesh. Basheer also went with him. The master softly warned him. He also said sorry to Shabin, but Viya didn't let go of this problem. Later, the master forgave Vesh and let them go. Shabin also forgave Vesh. There, the problem sorted out.

**Rain Drop 5:**

Later, Basheer accepted Abika's affection. So Basheer was excited and showed his performance in Silambam to demonstrate how strong he was. Basheer showed his talents by mocking Vesh and reteaching Silambam to Vesh. So Vesh got angry. Vesh also did the same to impress Viya, showing all his talents. Vesh showed his talents by spinning the stick while standing, leaning, sitting, frog jumping, rolling the sticks, and acting like Vesh and Basheer were fighting. Viya and Abika giggled; later, they laughed out loud.

**Rain Drop 6:**

On 20.11.2019 morning, Viya's birthday, Vesh wished her when all the girls were standing around Viya. Basheer also came along with Vesh. When Vesh wished Viya directly, Basheer was scared because in SNM School, there was an unspoken strict rule that none of the boys should talk with girls and vice versa. If they talked, then the students would be called and warned with a black mark in the student's behaviour register. Though Vesh held a class perfect batch and star batch for being a topper, he boldly wished Viya throughout the day.

Later, during lunch break, Vesh made a small greeting card with a quote about happiness in life: "No one can make you as happy or as sad as your own kin" and "Sometimes people take serious things as a joke and people take jokes as serious things—because life is an unplanned chart" (excerpt from the movie *Namma Veettu Pillai*). He also gifted a double-sided pen (black and blue). Vesh gave those gifts to Viya through Abika.

Later in the evening, during the Silambam club session, Vesh asked about those gifts to Viya directly in front of Abika in the school ground. She shyly and happily said those gifts were good and went quickly. Then Abika also went with Viya. Here, Vesh felt so happy and charmingly enjoyed the next day.

**Rain Drop 7:**

Ranjith, one of Vesh's classmates in Grade 3, told Vesh that he loved Viya. Vesh got angry and told Basheer. Then Basheer and Vesh calmly pulled him into the classroom and then... bang!!! and boom!!! softly and gently. After such things, Ranjith smoothly left his hope and cleared the path for Vesh to love Viya.

**Rain Drop 8:**

Due to shuffling of classes in Grade 6, the attendance registers of the students were collapsed. So to rewrite those registers, Vesh's class teacher called Vesh and asked him to collect all the classes' attendance registers. Vesh went and collected all the attendance register notebooks. Then the teacher rewrote all the names in a new attendance register. At the same time, Vesh silently took the attendance of Viya's class and quietly noted her bio-data in his notes.

**Rain Drop 9:**

As Vesh was a work-done leader, he often took notes on what work was done by the subject teachers in each class, and he had to get signatures from those subject teachers. He always didn't get a signature from Viya's class teacher, who was taking science class for Vesh's class. So that gave Vesh a chance to visit Viya's class, and he could see her while getting the signature from the science teacher.

**Rain Drop 10:**

One fine day, Vesh was walking in the corridor, looking inside Viya's class. He noticed Viya. Suddenly, she was saying "Hi" to him by waving her hands. He also happily said "Hi" to her, rapidly waving his hands with excitement. But later, he noticed that Viya was saying "Hi" to another girl behind Vesh. Vesh felt ashamed and silently and slowly crossed the classroom, whistling like he hadn't done anything. But the teacher shouted, "Who is whistling there?" (rudely). Then Vesh ran fastly inside the classroom.

### PART C

Slowly, Abika started to open up about Vesh's affection for Viya to her. First, Viya reacted surprisingly, and she doubted Abika whether it was true. Later, when Abika confirmed that Vesh was truly confessing his love for Viya, Viya said Vesh was a good boy, but she wondered why he was behaving like that. She said she wasn't interested in love and then she rejected it. Viya accepted Vesh as a friend. But Vesh refused such an approach from Viya.

Then Vesh forcefully confessed his love for Viya through Abika. Viya asked for some time. Vesh gave her some time. Later, there was news from Abika's friends that "Viya accepted." Vesh was happily jumping, running, and behaving like a hyperactive guy, telling his friends that his first love was successful. He didn't know what would happen next.

Later, when Vesh went to Abika and asked for the result from Viya, Abika said, "Yes, she accepted." Again Vesh shouted and screamed like a madman. Abika said, "Wait Vesh, she accepted you only as a friend." Vesh's face changed. He tensed up and became silent.

Later, he got an idea. He went to Abika and said, "Tell Viya to accept Vesh as her best friend, not just as a friend." Similarly, Abika also said this to Viya. Viya rejected this approach also. Vesh became mad and depressed.

## ACT 7: THUNDER STORM

Due to COVID-19 in 2020, there was a pandemic time. So all the schools were closed, and Grade 6 annual exams were cancelled. All the Grade 6 students were noted as passed by their previous exam marks and promoted to Grade 7. There was a debate among the school teachers and parents about holding online classes for the school students. Finally, the school's management decided to hold online classes for the students in late 2020.

Online classes started. In each online class, Vesh texted Viya directly. Vesh confessed his love by often texting "I love you." She didn't reply to it. Then Vesh annoyed her in online classes. Later, Viya replied that her parents were watching and sometimes her brother (elder) was near her. But Vesh didn't care about it and kept on forcing her to accept his love. Vesh scolded her to reply.

Later, he got Viya's phone number from Abika. Then Vesh started to text her. Here, where Abika and Basheer's relationship broke and they were unspeaking. So Abika was no longer a bridge for Vesh and Viya's life.

Vesh started to send some arts and crafts YouTube shorts to her and sometimes texted her genuinely. Sometimes Vesh sent some random links on WhatsApp to find her IP address, and by that, he could find the way to her home address. Though Vesh knew her house address, he didn't know the path to go to her house.

But in online classes, he forced her to accept his love and, in addition, scolded her using some foul words. Later, she texted, "When I see your face, I get irritated." Bomb blasts, volcano erupted in Vesh's mind, and he used even more foul words to scold her and stopped the chats. Later, he texted on WhatsApp. Viya blocked him on WhatsApp. So Vesh sought help from Basheer.

By watching some YouTube videos, Vesh planned to open a group through a third person. That third person should add the first person (Vesh), who was blocked by the second person (Viya), and should add the second person in the same WhatsApp group. Then the third person should leave the group. So the first person could chat with the second person. That was the actual plan.

As per the plan, Basheer got Viya's number from Vesh, and he also opened a new group. He added Vesh and Viya. But this fellow kept the group name as "I am Vesh." After she saw it, she left the group. And she made some changes in WhatsApp settings so that no one could add her to a group without her permission. "I lost that final chance with my brilliant friend," Vesh whispered.

Later on, Vesh slowly lost his mind. But he had some hope to get her back. But later, Abika no longer had a connection with Viya. So Vesh was stressed and tried to text her from another phone. But she didn't respond to it. Still, he tried to chat with her in online class.

One day, some random messages came for Vesh's younger sister in online class. In those messages, there were things like "I love you," kiss emojis, and even more raunchy things. Vesh got angry and tried to find who was doing that. But Vesh couldn't find that person. Later, Vesh and his parents complained to the teachers about this incident, and they also took some severe action on it.

Later on, Vesh realised Viya's perspective. This is how Viya also felt. But still, she didn't take any severe action against Vesh. Vesh realised it and stopped chasing her. Then he spent his pandemic time with Basheer and sometimes with his relatives.

## ACT 8: THE LIGHTNING

### PART A

Vesh's parents pushed Vesh to go to the ground for weight loss because, during the pandemic, Vesh gained weight and became fatigued. So his parents forced him to go to the ground. Later, he found there was a basketball camp for youths. Initially, he went to the ground for time pass. But after joining the basketball team, he became interested and spent his next 4 years playing basketball. He went to so many matches.

Initially, Vesh, Mith, and Basheer went to join the team. Later, Basheer left it. But Vesh and Mith continued. Vesh reduced his weight.

Later, after joining SDA School, Vesh's parents decided to change Vesh from his old school (Matriculation) to a new school (ICSE) for higher education. The new school name was SDA School. He refused to move to another school. But Vesh's parents forced him to join that school in Grade 8. Then he studied there until his Grade 10 in SDA School.

Abika made friends. But Vesh didn't connect with anyone initially. Slowly, he got some friends. Abika told her friends about Vesh's childhood love stories. Her friends were shocked and teased Vesh.

Later, in Grade 10, on the first day of Class 10, boys and girls were allowed to play throwball together. There, Vesh accidentally hit a talkative topper girl named Shahana. All the boys enjoyed that moment. But Vesh apologised. After the game, that topper girl came to Vesh to talk about something. Vesh's friends yelled and mocked her. She got angry and left the class. Vesh felt bad about this.

Later, the next day, Vesh sincerely apologised for his mistake, and she also forgave him. After that, Vesh and Shahana shared some smart tricky questions with each other and solved those questions. Day by day, Vesh realised what a friendship with a girl should be like and regretted his behaviour with Viya.

Shahana always said a quote to Vesh and also to all her friends: "You are not a good person in everyone's story." Vesh asked her, "Why are you often telling the same quote?" Shahana replied, "Yeah, this quote reflects the sad reality. That's how life is tricky and complex. If you focus on being a good person in everyone's life, then you lose yourself, and eventually it definitely won't happen. Live a life for yourself; that's enough. Life is not the same for everyone, so don't lose yourself living for others' lives."

This explanation became an eye-opener for Vesh. He was amazed by Shahana's thought process, and he also began to change his way of thinking and perspective of seeing the world.

Later, the board exams ended. Shahana finally said, "Vesh, enjoy your life." After that, Vesh didn't see her again.

### PART B

In 2022, as Vesh's brothers and sisters were studying in SNM School, there was a sports event. So Vesh went there, seeking an opportunity to see Viya again after many years. When he entered the school, Shabin shouted because she was the receptionist there. Vesh, Abika, and his sister were shocked. Vesh felt ashamed and shy.

Suddenly, a teacher arrived and investigated. Abika and Shabin convinced the teacher by saying that Vesh and Abika were old students of this school. Then, there Vesh met his old friends, shared so many small memories, and took a picture. But he couldn't find Viya there, and without seeing her, he returned home. He also didn't notice Shabin again.

## ACT 9: WINDY

After completing Grade 10, Vesh's parents enrolled him in VB School for JEE Mains coaching and for the CBSE syllabus. There, he spent his life with high pressure, depression, and anxiety. After joining VB School, he left basketball. Because after the rejection from Viya, Vesh got interested in basketball, and this game became a healing part of his life. There, he learned so many moral values. Eventually, he learned an approach to speak with girls and his seniors. Though he had sisters and cousins, he wasn't familiar with sharing his thoughts with them. Later, he treated people in a respectful manner. His life's changing point was when he joined the basketball club.

In Class 11, Vesh met his senior girl in a private van going to school. She looked pretty, and he wanted to talk with her. One fine day, when he shared his writings and quotes, she opened up about her breakup story to him—that the boy became toxic and went with his friends, leaving the love all alone. Vesh was stunned and traumatised. He had never before listened to a breakup story from a girl's perspective. She tended to cry, but Vesh didn't know how to calm her down. Meanwhile, the school arrived. She went off. Later, he didn't meet her in the van.

Vesh was traumatised for two days. He related that breakup story to his own life and deeply realised how he had behaved as a toxic fellow and how he had treated Viya. These things brought even more psychological changes in him. He developed empathy. He slowly became a good listener. He learned to see others' perspectives. Eventually, he completely stopped speaking bad words.

In Class 11, one fine day, there was a bomb threat to VB School. So all the students were immediately dispersed by the school. In the chaos, Vesh met his old classmate Riti. Riti accidentally came to Vesh and asked where to reach the private vans. Vesh had been thinking deeply about him for a week because Vesh couldn't initially identify him. After a week, Riti himself came to Vesh and reintroduced himself.

Somehow, he managed one year in VB School and completed Class 11 with JEE Mains coaching. Vesh opened an Instagram account for chatting with Viya. As soon as he opened the account, he sent a follow request to Viya. But she didn't accept it. Later, he got fed up but never lost hope.

Then, he convinced his parents and shifted to the board class. There, Vesh went to Riti's class. As mentioned earlier, Riti and Vesh weren't good friends yet. In the new class, Vesh felt lonely. After a month, they slowly started talking about their past lives. There, Riti recollected all the memories of Vesh, and later they became good friends, sharing notes. Then they performed well in their academics and were helpful to each other.

Later, Riti found Viya as his follower on Instagram. Then he sent her profile picture to Vesh. During their funny conversation about childhood photos, after seeing this picture, Vesh reacted as if he had lost his soul.

## ACT 10: CLEAR SKY

Later, one day, when Riti and Vesh were talking on a call, Vesh bet Riti to talk with Viya. Riti accepted the challenge and immediately texted Viya. Immediately, Viya replied, friendly and calmly. Suddenly, Riti texted about Vesh. She got angry and neglected the topic about Vesh.

Riti promised Vesh that he would reunite Vesh and Viya. But Vesh knew the actual reality, and he only wanted to apologise to her for his past mistakes. But Riti was scared to talk with her because Viya got angry when the topic was about Vesh. So he didn't chat with her. Meanwhile, Vesh also didn't have any hope for reunion. So Riti held on to his chats with Viya.

On the eve of Viya's birthday, Vesh made notes on Instagram about wishing her happy birthday. So Riti wished her a day before her birthday. She was curious and asked, "How do you know?" Riti spilled the beans: "Vesh told me." She got angry and stopped the conversation about Vesh.

Riti told this to Vesh. Vesh wrote a heartfelt apology letter for Viya and asked Riti to share it with her. Riti shared it. Viya replied to Riti, "Everything is fine, but I don't like him. And if you continue to talk about him, I will block you." Riti sent these replies to Vesh. Vesh felt guilty, but eventually, he had already expected this reply.

This story ends with Vesh reimagining Viya's cute smile and her charming eyes looking at him delightfully, when Vesh and Viya went for the Under-12 basketball selection camp in 2019. Vesh felt bad for turning that cute smile into everlasting hatred.

The story concludes with Vesh's acceptance of regret and mistakes about reality.

### CONCLUSION

Finally, Vesh realises the actual definition of love. Viya no longer has contact with him. Though he realised his harmful mistakes, he cannot change his past. Rather, he has actually changed his present and supported his senior to overcome her heartbreak. He will never get his first love again.

Love is a commitment, and it depends on age, time, and other aspects of a person. It needs a huge understanding between the couple. Vesh made plenty of mistakes there in the concept of understanding. He didn't understand Viya's feelings. Finally, this led him to regret. But definitely, he won't repeat his mistakes again...
