With God-given courage, I have transformed my circumstances;
The blows dealt by fate have been turned around.
The fruit of good deeds is always sweet;
By His grace, my very reality has been transformed.
Ever since I received God's mercy,
The very course of my life has changed.
Moving forward step by step,
My perspective and emotions have shifted.
Since we take nothing with us when we leave, my friend,
I have changed my conduct, thoughts, and habits.

Adorned with the *mehndi* of courage, I begin a new life;
For the first time, I begin to partake in the revelry of the gathering.
Someone has to take the initiative, so today, on my own,
I begin to mend and heal fragile relationships.
To delight the hearts of the beautiful amidst joyful moments,
I begin to sing intoxicating songs in the open air.
Dispelling the gloom that surrounded many hearts,
I begin to bring the glow of happiness to faces.
That which could not even be touched in dreams or thoughts—
Mustering great courage, I begin to reach out and touch it.

Conversations need not always be charming, melodious, or intoxicating.
Even companions can remain distant from one another;
It is not essential to always hold a partner's hand.
Circumstances and Destiny ...doesn't always stay by one's side.
It isn't essential for circumstances to remain the same every moment.
