Emptiness
Learn to embrace the emptiness,
Learn to cast aside the loneliness.
Think of changing what currently is,
Learn to scatter away the sorrow.
For the sake of your own happiness,
Learn to cherish and hold onto the moments.
Stop racing in the pursuit of romance,
Learn instead to gather your inner waves of emotion.
Soothe and coax your heart,
Learn to navigate and manage the circumstances.
Light the lamp of hope within your heart,
Learn to find the zeal to truly live.
Look deep within yourself,
Recognize who you are and learn empathy.

The night was endured, the day was passed,
And thus, the burden was lifted from the heart.
Steps faltered amidst despair,
But with gentle reassurance, balance was restored.
Life is beautiful; for this very reason,
Dormant dreams were awakened once more.
How long could the silence last?
The estranged beloved has finally been appeased.
Happiness began to knock at the door,
And the home was decorated again with great enthusiasm.

Spectacle
Life becomes difficult when it turns into a spectacle,
With a multitude of onlookers gathering to watch.
It is fine as long as matters remain within the family,
But things go awry when issues are exposed to the public.
Issues should be resolved internally,
Before they become fodder for every self-appointed advisor.
Even the smallest matter can escalate into a major issue,
And once it becomes common talk, it gains undue weight.
People spread news as if it were an advertisement,
Leaving life unhappy and ailing with sorrow.

Reaching the Sky
With boosted courage, I must reach the sky,
Venturing far beyond the known universe.
Moving forward ceaselessly, day and night,
I must walk alongside the sun and the moon.
Of the universe's beauty... To simply grow up in the lap of nature...
There will be moments when one might falter;
One must steady oneself on the winding paths...
Maintaining zeal and courage,
One must learn to navigate the flight...

The colors of relationships should never fade;
The hearts of loved ones should never stray...
Discord and affection may come and go,
But one shouldn't get stuck on the bittersweet moments...
Life gains vibrancy through loved ones;
One must not shirk one's responsibilities...
Since life becomes beautiful through love,
Bonds of trust should not be allowed to waver...
Nurture affection like a blooming flower,
And do not let petty squabbles turn into angry outbursts...

A meeting at the crossroads can happen with courage;
If the world sees it, they have plenty to say...
The world burns with envy seeing lovers;
Enemies of happiness poison the minds of family members...
Exaggerating matters and spreading rumors,
They steal away the lovers' peace and tranquility...
Without knowing the purpose of the meeting,
They burn with jealousy over someone else's happiness...
They waste away obsessing over others' lives,
Squandering their own time in vain...

Songs of Sawan
The gentle, pattering raindrops have come together to sing the songs of Sawan. All lovers of the rain across the universe
sing sweet melodies.
Damp earth, greenery, and an atmosphere
adorned with beauty;
The musical notes of the breeze and the chirping of birds
bring a message.
Every branch on the trees sways,
celebrating with joy;
The days for dancing, singing, and swaying
in the cool easterly wind have arrived.
Sawan is intoxicating, the raindrops hold a spell,
and the heart is captivated too;
May the rainy season bring great delight
to all lovers of Sawan.
The cuckoo calls out, while hope surrounds
the eyes of the peacock;
The earth is draped in the beauty of a green veil
beneath the blue sky.

Moon Behind the Clouds
The light has vanished amidst the darkness;
Where has the moon hidden behind the clouds?
Let the stars smile in solitude;
The time for being together has slipped away.
If there is a sparkle of playful mischief,
true joy has been left behind.
The moon might harbor a touch of resentment,
feeling that something was lost in the act of gaining something else.
Let the heart play to its fill;
It has merged with the sky and burst forth in ecstasy.

Love
Do not proclaim your love openly to the world;
Do not reveal it so readily to those around you.
The world looks on with envious, piercing eyes;
Do not adorn yourself so strikingly, lest you invite the evil eye.
Even one's own gaze can cast a spell upon oneself;
Do not smile so radiantly that your happiness overflows.
You already appear as rare and beautiful as the Eid moon;
Do not wear a bindi upon your forehead.
The harsh sun might darken your complexion;
Do not remove the veil from your face.

Just One Glimpse
It has been years since we last met;
No words were exchanged to bring peace to the heart.
If only I could have caught a glimpse of the beloved from afar—
But I was not granted the gift of seeing you, even for a moment.
It would have been wonderful had you come to meet me yourself;
Yet, no such gesture of kindness came from your side.
Nothing was ever formally settled between the two of us;
There was no established tradition of our meeting.
We always kept our distance out of fear of the world;
And—witness the helplessness—I, too, could not bring myself to rebel.

Mother’s shrine is adorned; come, let us immerse ourselves in the colors of devotion.
A wave of jubilation spreads all around, filling hearts with delight.
As devotees become fully imbued with the spirit of devotion,
The Goddess’s shrine shines in splendor, and Her benevolent shadow ever remains.
Immersed in the essence of devotion, the heart’s inner peacock dances with joy. Worshipping the divine powers, bringing Mother's blessings...

Let me see you step out of the past.
Do not remain so silent;
Let me see you share the state of your heart.
Let me see you adorn yourself anew,
Leaving everything behind to move forward.
What will you gain by remaining immersed in pain?
Let me see a glow return to your face.
Let me see you show the courage today
To smile and build a new life.
Let me see you steal yourself away from yourself,
Even after breaking the chains of memory.
Let me see you step into the light
And save yourself from nameless fears.
You can hide things only up to a point;
Let me see you hide a heart that is smoldering.
You have taken so long to forget;
Let me see you tear your mind away from those memories.

I bow in reverence to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation;
Bowing my head at their sacred feet, I seek their blessings.
I seek to capture moments of their lives in my poetry,
And immerse myself in the immortal tales found in the annals of history.
While we sit safely at home, they take bullets in their chests;
I bow my own head in pride before their supreme sacrifice.
