Shubha

What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but sweet smiles to be sure; but scattered along life's pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.
Shubha a happy sun flower of my life, met
her daily on my way to mandir. An angel who always greeted me' good morning didi ,as she went to school and I too worship my divine.
She had a smile dazzling like a diamond on her dusky skin, giving me flowers for my lord, and me in return a packet of Parle-G . I couldn't imagine a day without her sweet voice greeting me morning wishes. In the evening she used to sell balloons on the footpath to earn her living.
Many a time I offered her,to let me give her school fees , she replied me with a twinkling eyes " only Parle-G please ." Subha was an orphan , who lived with peasant family in our colony. I often gave her a few rig-outs and toys of my kids but whenever I offered to give her school fees (you must be knowing her answer to this question) only Parle-G please. She saved every penny of her earning to pay her school fees .
Years passed and Shubha turned nine. I still remember that morning when she appeared with colorful flowers in her hand , calling out to me 'good morning didi " and I wished her , tapping her head "Happy birthday Shubha "and this time instead of her Parle-G I handed her a new dress. She was overwhelmed to receive the gift and there she ran calling out to her friends “hey , all of you listen I got a new dress on my birthday. "
As she wished me good bye leaving me behind with a heart full of content and delight.
That evening I didn't saw Shubha selling balloons, neither she came for the next day to give me flowers. As I didn't caught her glimpse for a next days, I went to inquire about her from the peasants, with whom she lived.
There I came to know SHUBHA HAS GOT A NEW SUBHA ON HER BIRTHDAY.
As she left for school on her birthday , she got injured in a road accident. But the accident bought a new home to that orphan.
The car owner, from whose car she was
injured had adopted her. After listening to the peasant's story, I wanted to have a look over Shubha. Whether she was in safe hands or not, i was anxious to see her . Peasants gave me Shubha's new address, and her parents contact no and there I found my Shubha in good hands , greeting me once again ,"good morning didi " and I handing her Parle-G.and said dear Shubha I wanted to tell you something. Her eyes sparking like diamond ,but now on her glowing face asked me "What didi?"
I smiled back and took her in my lap and said
Shine as a star ,
promise me, you will rise every hour.
Life had been gloomy and dark,
but you will change it's face ,
to a happy shinning star .
Which will not die in any hour .
