The high pitched screeching noise created by the loud horn of the train rang in my ears making me turn my head in the direction from where it was coming .
Narrowing my eyes I saw the train coming from distant in my direction.
The train tracks were calling out to me. I waited for it to come . As the train approached more and more in my direction I freezed as a certain memory resurfaced in my mind .
All I remembered was her loud scream , her tears , her pain strucked face, her shivering body before she .....
Loud horn of the train reached my ears again bringing me out of my reverie . I noticed that the train was just few metres away from me. My heart started beating faster and faster as the train came closer and closer. My body started shaking badly as I fixed rooted to one spot. I closed my eyes as her face came into my mind , the way she looked me the last time before the train.....
" Noooooooooo , Noooo , No , No , No " , I screamed loudly as the train passed by my side in full speed.
" Noo Urvi ....Why did you do that ? Why?" , I yelled breaking down in sobs as I watched the train passing by my side.
If only I would have saved her that day ...if only...
The train completely crossed by my side slowly vanishing from my sight as it headed more and more into the other direction.
An irking silence settled in the atmosphere even though my whole body was in chaos.
My heart was pounding so loudly against my chest that I could even hear my wild heartbeats, sweat dripping from my body , my lips trembling , my body shivering but all these things were not new for me. I looked at the train tracks and I couldn't help but feel that it calls me towards it everytime when I think of her or whenever I think of that day.

" Wait Urvi , atleast listen to me before you come to any conclusion ", I shouted loudly at her meanwhile chasing her .
" No Ravi , there's nothing left to heard anymore " , she yelled back at me as she ran further away from me.
I followed her wherever she was heading .
Loud horn of train reached my ears and I realised that we have reached the rail tracks which are present just behind the colony where I live.
Watching her marching towards those tracks frightened me to the very core . Using all my might I fastened my speed reaching by her side in few seconds.
As soon as I reached near her i immediately caught her arm stopping her from running any further.
" Let me go , Let me go Ravi " , she screamed loudly at me meanwhile writhing and wiggling in my hold .
In the next second I engulfed her within my arms into a tight hug crushing her entire frame against mine.
For few moments she retaliated , trying her hard to get out of my arms but with passing time she eventually lost her energy thus she gave in and leaned against my chest, sobbing slightly.
" Shhhh , calm down love . Everything will be fine , trust me " , I whispered softly in her ears trying to calm her.
" No Ravi nothing will be fine ever again . You will marry her , you will leave me . I can't live without you. I love you Ravi , I love you very much", Urvi mumbled as she sobbed in my arms . I could even feel my shirt getting wet from all her tears.
" No , I will not marry her . I will make my parents understand that I really love you a lot and I want to marry only you " , I replied her back pouring my true feelings to her.
" You can't Ravi , you can't and you know it very well. If they would have understood our love then you would not have been engaged to supriya right now, " Urvi whispered slowly as she looked into my eyes.
Hurt was all that I could see in her eyes .A lone tear escaped my eye knowing that what she said is true. My parents would never approve our marriage.
Joining our foreheads together , I sighed. I couldn't be more helpless and frustrated than I am right now.
" Let me go Ravi . I can't live with you anymore
knowing that now you are someone else's", Urvi murmured softly , her voice coming out more like she was pleading.
I looked into her eyes and saw some kind of determination within them like she has made some decision. Loosening my hold on her , I pulled back from the hug.
" I am sorry Urvi , I am very sorry for hurting you . I will talk to my parents again and ", I stopped as a noise of loud horn of train reached my ears . I noticed a train coming from a farther end in our direction but I again focused my attention towards her and I stilled.
Urvi was looking straight at me , her eyes moistened with unshed tears. She was looking me in longing like she wants to capture my face in her mind , like she was looking me for the last time .
My breath hitched when she smiled at me as if she was thanking me for something.
I don't know why I was feeling very frightened like something very bad is going to happen.
Loud horn of the approaching train again gained my attention and I observed that the train was very near us. In reflex I held her hand dragging her towards me so that we stay far from the train.
" I will always love you ravi but I can't bear to see you with someone else . I know in this life you can never be mine but I would always be thankful that you loved an orphan like me . I have no one beside you in my life and life without you is meaningless for me. I love You" , Urvi slightly pulled back her hand from my hold " Ravi ...."
Loud Noise of the horn again rang my ears and I looked that the train was just about to cross us .
I looked again at Urvi and this time she took a step back looking straight at me.
My eyes widened in shock when I realised what she was about to do .
Before I could response in any way , she started running towards the track where the train was coming . I lunged forward in order to stop her but.......I was late .
" Nooooooooooooooo , Noooo , No , No " . Loud painful scream escaped from my throat when I witnessed her getting hit by train , her whole body getting crushed completely under the train .
" Ahhhhhhhhhhhh " I shouted as her blood splashed all over my body. I kneeled down on the ground , loud cries escaping my mouth.
As the train crossed by my side completely, my eyes searched for her and a blood curling scream escaped my mouth when I noticed her whole body squished and damaged lying on one side of the track .
At that moment I realised that I lost her and I failed in saving our love .

I flinched when I felt someone's hand over my shoulder and in jerk I turned my head slightly.
My lips curved into soft smile on seeing the person infront of me.
" Offo Papa , you're again sitting at this place . I was looking for you everywhere , " my daughter stated as she pouted at me.
" Sorry Urvi , Papa was sad so he came here but you should not come here all alone , I have told you that this place is not safe ."
" Sorry papa , I was missing you but I will not do it again . Urvi promise ."
I chuckled on hearing her because she always promises me only to break it the next moment.
" Come here ", I widened my arms for her and she hugged me. Carrying her in my arms I marched back towards my home.
Yes I got married as per my parents wishes to the girl they wanted. Yes I am a married man and my life is going very fine. Yes I have a daughter whom I have named Urvi . Yes I have a small happily family of my own . Yes I still come here because I feel that the train tracks are calling out to me because this is the only place where I get the time to remember her.
Yet I still miss her , I still love her , I still laugh whenever I remember the times we laughed together, I still cry when I remember her face when i saw her the last time.....
