Sifarish - The Dairy - 5 - 2

Saif stared at her intensely. Then, without hesitation, he answered—“Yes.”Silence spread across the room.

All eyes turned towards Rizvi. No one understood why she would ask such a question—especially when almost everyone already knew about Saif’s past… except Firoz’s wife.

Saif continued,“Muskaan… that’s her name. We studied together in college. We loved each other deeply.”His voice turned slightly heavy.“But one day… a massive earthquake hit my life… and it tore us apart.”

He paused.“That’s my story. Want to ask anything else?”Rizvi held his gaze for a moment, then said softly,“No… this much information is enough for me.

Thank you.”She stood up.“I’ll be back.”The game continued… but Saif’s attention didn’t

His eyes kept searching for Rizvi.Minutes passed. She didn’t return.

Waiting slowly turned into frustration. Finally, unable to control himself, Saif stood up and left to find her.

Rizvi had already locked herself inside her room. Her mind was racing.Doubt had crept in.

She began to feel that Saif was planning something against her… something meant to trap her.Back outside, after waiting long enough,

Saif finally understood—“She suspects me.”And that realization burned inside him.

A new idea sparked in Rizvi’s mind. After overthinking every possible situation, she finally came up with a plan—one that made her eyes gleam with mischief.

She wanted Saif to fall madly in love with her… all over again. And when the right time came—she would reveal the truth.“Until then,” she whispered to herself,“I’ll make sure my name lives in his mind…morning to night.”

Suddenly, another idea hit her.“What if I call him… from a new number?”A slow smile spread across her face.“We’ll talk… become friends… and then… maybe he’ll fall in love again.”

The next day, Rizvi shared her genius (and slightly dangerous) plan with Zareen.Zareen raised an eyebrow.“Bhabhi… are you sure this will work? What if Saif bhai recognizes your voice?”Rizvi rolled her eyes dramatically.“He barely talks to me properly.

How on earth will he recognize my voice?”Then, with full confidence, she added,“And don’t worry… my plan is flawless.”“Just arrange a new SIM card for me.”“Done,” Zareen replied.Soon, the mission began.Through a distant friend,

Zareen managed to get a SIM card under someone else’s name—just to avoid any suspicion.

Then came the most important part…The new identity. After deep thinking (and unnecessary drama), they finalized a name—Aasiya.

A few days later, the SIM got activated. And that very evening, around 5 PM…Saif’s phone rang.Unknown Number.

He picked up.“Hello… who is this?”On the other side, a soft, sweet voice spoke,“Hello… I’m Aasiya. Who are you?”Saif frowned slightly.(“Oh wow… attitude!”) he muttered internally. Then said politely,“Uh… no one.”

Aasiya instantly replied,“If no one is speaking… then is it a ghost on the phone?”

Saif snapped.“You called me, right? So YOU should know whether it’s a ghost or a human! You call and then ask me? Are you Ghajini or what?!”

Aasiya blinked in confusion.“Who is Ghajini?”Saif was shocked.“WHAT?! You don’t know Ghajini? At least you know Aamir Khan, right?”

Aasiya smirked.

“I don’t know Ghajini. I don’t know Aamir Khan. The only person I know… is Saif.”

There was a pause.

Then—

Saif burst out laughing.

“Okay, that was actually a good one!”

Then suddenly, suspicious again—

“Wait… are you a robot? Or did you just pick me to annoy today?”

He narrowed his eyes.

“One minute… HOW do you know my name? I never told you!”

On the other side, Aasiya panicked for a second—but quickly recovered.

“You just said it yourself… Aamir Khan’s younger brother, Saif Ali Khan. Honestly… I think you are Ghajini.”

Saif gasped dramatically.

“Excuse me?! I’m not Ghajini—you are!”

Then he added,

“And by the way… not Saif Ali Khan. Just Saif. Remember that.”
