Mayapur Chandroya temple is the chief city of ISKCON. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is the moon who had conquered the lands of Mayapur, a little over 500 years ago, and by whose compassion and empowerment, this astonishing Lord Krishna's vital movement has now expanded its influence all over the world. So it was only acceptable that his captain AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the creator guru of ISKCON, had identified his head office of operations as Sri Mayapur Chandrodaya temple. The sacred house of Mayapur might look like an isolated village to one who views things from an everyday perspective. The land of Mayapur might look like a religious temple especially to the mystics. It was at Yogapeeth, located a couple of hundred yards from the Mayapur Chandrodaya Temple, that Sacinandana Gaurahari had appeared around 1486 AD and started exhibiting fortunately. The rules and techniques of ISKCON temple were taught and classified by the 15th century sage and religious compromiser Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu around the year from 1486 till 1532, his brother Nityananda Prabhu and six of his senior associates, the Goswamis of Vrindavana (Santana, Rupa, Jiva, Gopal Bhatta, Raghunath Dasa, and Raghunath Bhatta). Before 5000 years, the Bhagavad-gita was written which was the interpretive principle of the Hare Krishna Movement Organisation. Its beginnings are more than 5000 years old. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu whom worshippers think of as a reincarnation of Lord Krishna gave a strong momentum for a rapid adoration movement all over India. Under his instruction hundreds of capacity on the ideology of Lord Krishna's responsiveness. Many worshippers followed in the tutorship line of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu such as in the 19th century a marvellous Vaishnava gospeler, Bhaktivinoda Thakura around 1838 till 1914 who brought Krishna responsiveness to an updated viewer. Bhaktivinoda Thakur's son Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Goswami became the sage of Srila Prabhupada from the year 1896 till the year 1977 and tutored him to raise alertness of Lord Krishna in the West. ISKCON's narrative consist of a displic progression. It draws its legality from its origin in a progression of religious tutors and followers. There are four major authorative progressions and ISKCON is part of Bramha-Gaudiya-Madhva religious system founded by Lord Krishna. The other three are called the Sri Sampradaya (Goddess Lakshmi), the Rudra (Lord Shiva), Sampradaya and the Kumara (indicating the four Kumaras [ virgin sages]) Sampradaya. There are several divisions to the Bramha Sampradaya. ISKCON is a part of the Bramha-Gudiya-Madhva ancestry owned by Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the sixteenth century. In 1986 worshippers finished an updated temple with four of the eight sakhis. Worshippers set up a few days before Gaura Purnima of that year. In July 1986 Lord Nrisimhadeva and Prahlad Maharaja came in July. After seven years in 1992, the other four sakhis came and worshippers conducted a three-day gala assembly festival. Mayapur Temple is located on the bank of the river Hoogly and Jalangi in Nadia district. It is considered as 20 most visited and religious places in the world. More than millions of worshippers come to this place to see and pray to several gods such as Pancatattva, Lord Nrisingha, Srila Prabhupada, and Radha Madhav with the gopis inside the temple.
